One of the things missing from Morroblivion was the ability to be expelled from factions for your misdeeds. Now it's restored.
General notes:
- Mages Guild expulsion is not yet debugged, because of the unusual way of 'making amends' for them. I'll get to it later.
- Most of the factions use the standard scheme - you can be reinstated once for free and if you're expelled again - you're out forever. Exceptions are below.
- Thieves Guild tolerates up to 5 offences, but you must pay considerable amounts of money to join again.
- House Hlaalu offers you to re-join as many times as you like, for a fee.
- House Telvanni allowed you to re-join unlimited and for free, but this was only done because of the way Morrowind engine worked. In Morroblivion you won't be expelled from Telvanni, and I have no plans to change that.
- Due to the way scripts work, changes should be retroactive, i.e. if you committed a crime agains a faction before on your savegame, you'll be expelled for that when you activate the mod.
- I haven't properly tested all factions, so I'll appreciate if you report any bugs or unusual behaviour with faction expulsion.

Ooooh, this is awesome! I'll download it and try it out at once.
House Redoran seems to expel you for doing certain quests properly. The Founder's Helm quest, taunting the guy with the helm until he attacks is supposed to work, but they expel you for murdering him, even when the game does not count it as such. Also, dueling with Bolyn Venim in the Vivec Arena (done through the Redoran Hortator quest) triggered expulsion as well. I reloaded the previous save and have avoided redoing the duel. If I am expelled a second time for doing the quest properly, is there any sort of workaround? Maybe there's a console command I could use? I don't know what would work since I don't know how the game handles the Morrowind quest and faction IDs.
Known issue. In the next version you should not be expelled if you didn't start the fight.
That's cool. In the meantime though, is there a console command or something I can use to get around it currently? I'd rather not abandon a save over it if I don't have to.
Well, you can console-kill the guys.
Cool, I'll have to try that. At least that way, I can get through that quest and keep playing that character until the next update. Thank you.
Tried console-killing Venim, didn't work. Used the "killall" command to take out everyone in the cell, Sarethi does not acknowledge Venim's death. I guess I'm out of luck.
You can try the following things:
You can rejoin you manually by typing the following into the console:
Or you can reset the timer and make amends by typing the following into the console:
Hope this works.
I tried that bottom one and that worked great. Thank you! You've saved my save.
Glad this worked.
Followed Percius Mercius' order to kill HardHeart and PC was expelled from the Fighters Guild for the second time. He will talk about some subjects but will not reinstate PC until he "makes amends." Used 'Join Fighters Guild' topic as before after killing HardHeart's cronies but Mercius will not reinstate. Hrundi won't do it either. Both call PC a traitor. PC cannot become FG Guildmaster now.
I will try Bjorn's last recommendation adjusted for Fighters Guild and let you know what happens.
This is not a huge deal because there are a lot of other things to do yet (like the rest of the Main Quest). And my PC is already Arch Mage. But I was hoping for an income from FG like in Oblivion. My guy is just going to have to keep looting and hustling.
Bjorn's fix worked. Entered the console commands which then allowed Hrundi to reinstate PC to the Fighters Guild. Went to see Percius Mercius and was made Guildmaster.
As I am unfamiliar with Morrowind gameplay, I didn't realize that this would result in an attack by the Dark Brotherhood. Got some nice armor and ebony spear as a result. But this belongs in a different thread.
Thanks for your help.
