Change project from ESM to a library ESM and ESP (SI-style)

Submitted by rekuli on

-- with Morroblivion being an ESM, Oblivion cannot handle things too well, eg. race altering mods like Ren's or COBL Races, which get partly un-done by Morrowind_ob.esm and this in turn "enforces" diverse crashes --- ever wondered why Bethesda integrated Shivering Isles into Oblivion.esm?  That's exactly why.  You should split the Morrowind_ob into a library ESM and the actual landscape/people/quest ESP, then there would be no need anymore to load the ESM first (which clashes with diverse other mods).  You ought to change this.

This is your opinion, not facts. I disagree. Morrowind_ob.esm is and should be a Master File that other mods can alter.

"Morrowind_ob.esm is and should be a Master File that other mods can alter."

It is .. and I have.  But, several existing mods (including a few of mine) that will never be redone or made compatible with this version of morroblivion do cause crashes, don't work right, or just won't load properly.

The Users of this version of morroblivion need to be made aware that not every other mod in existance is compatible with this version of morroblivion and might cause problems, including corrupting a savegame..

The remark = "This is your opinion, not facts."  Doesn't help uninformed users at all. It's just argumentative.

Sorry if I ruffle feathers, but this is my opinion.  Facts or not.

:)

I have stated, as clearly as I know how, that the project is not compatible with most previous Morroblivion mods. I have posted this on the thread and said it in the readme. It is in bold on the thread. What else do you think I should do to make this more obvious? I was responding to a post that was stating that things should be done a certain way because the way they are currently done is all wrong. I disagree with that, and I disagree with most of the rest of what he is saying. If I sound augumentative, I'm sorry. He is entitled to his opinion, but it is just that, his opinion. His opinion on what I should do, not that he is going to help or contribute in any way. I am entitled to disagree with it.
