I need ideas!!! Ok... so I was thinking, in Oblivion you have diferent sets of armor, each city has a diferent set right? Well, since this are simple textures I want to make diferent armors for each Imperial City and Forts in Morrowind.
That's not the problem, I need the "logos" or "symbols" for each place... for example, Pelagiad or Seyda Neen... I'm going to leave this topic open and if someone thinks in something, please post the image or the description of what you think it's cool for any of this places:
Seyda Neen.
Pelagiad.
Moonmoth.
Buckmoth.
Ebonheart. (maybe the image of a dragon?)
Thanks!
It's not a bad idea to use
It's not a bad idea to use the shape of a lighthouse for Seyda Neen! What about make the other "default" armors with a red cuirass and the morrowind logo (without "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind" of course xD)
;D Keep them coming!
I would suggest to keep
I would suggest to keep concentrate on refreshment of Morrowind in Oblivion than make it like Oblivion... Isn't true that ideas from Morrowind was better in many cases? Make a Morrowind-like, "provintional" version of imperial armor - that is the chalenge here! If we will think "Oblivion-way" well, the Oblivion version of bone armor, ordinator's armor and glass armor would never been come true! (sorry for my english)
Well, this is my own opinion, but I think people dream about an old fashion Morrowind FIRST. And maybe later someone want to refresh his version of Vvanderfell.
Don't get me wrong thought. DavidWolf, I watch your progress and work from some time and I'm really impressioned! Good work! Keep it alive! Just like Tamriel Rebuilt! And we all will glorify you ;D! Heil!
tho i do like the enthusiasm
tho i do like the enthusiasm for this topic but i agree with besshi on this one. why not make them wear the oblivion imperial legion armor since well they are part of the imperial legion. also i think i remember seeing a ordinator armor mod for oblivion that might work with morroblivion. just would have to tell the cs to have them equip it instead of the reg ordinator armor.
I visited french topics
I visited french topics (http://forum.wiwiland.net/index.php?showtopic=39859&st=1148&gopid=612560&#entry612560), where the converter was create, and there french guys make M3e433 mod, witch allow a player to visite Morrowind in timeline of Oblivion (well, this is an equivalent of Davidwolf project). I asked them is it possible to split together old and new story of Morrowind, and no (in one mod) this isn't possible. For example, if someone decide to not kill de Dagoth Ur, the story in timeline of Oblivion will make no sense and wouldn't even happen. Also, if someone kill an NPC in old storyline who is an important character in new story - failure again. Someone could tell: "Why not? After killing him a propriete message appears, just like in Morrowind" - but this solution will take the whole realism from the game because you wouldn't know witch one I "can" kill - plus, there will be old "non killiable NPCs" and new ones. To many of them I think.
So, I agree that the best solution is to make unless three SEPARETE projects - First one, witch gives dialogs and quests from Morrowind, Tribunal, and Bloodmoon, another for dialogs and quests for Tamriel Rebuilt, and the third one for dialogs and quests for Morrowind in Oblivion's timeline.
Yeah, I agree with Dugster - there will be less work with a program who can simply convert dialogs from Morrowind to Morrowblivion, but if we'll wait for one, when we'll get it?
Plus, Galadrielle, the maker of converter dissappear, her and her converter's source code (!) witch means that is quite impossible now to make the converter better and to make the dialogs converter with Morroblivion one. So, all we can do is to "repair" the Morroblivion manually and then, make storylines.
What do you think about it, guys?
Sorry, this is some sort of offtopic xD
Galadrielle
Is Galadrielle from Quebec, she mentioned it was winter(hiver) but, wait no lol, she posted that in June, it's summer in Quebec during June. Also, I like how the title for her is "for those who like the giant mushrooms".
This off topic sorry lol.
This idea of the Imperial
This idea of the Imperial Armors ... well also there's a lot of Roman-Oriented resources, since the original armors from MW are more roman-like we can change the default armors and put new models, that will be nice too.
I remeber a resource called "gladiator helmet" or something like that, it was pretty cool and it looked like a roman helmet, another good resource is "medieval armors"!
Seeya ;D
PD: Keep it on topic, please.
Telvanni?
Having imperial armors is a great idea. Maybe telvanni towns like vos and tel aruhn could have armors featuring something telvanni. Maybe an emblem with the top of one of their towers?

Imperial armors are the only
Imperial armors are the only ones that have missing arms. Is there a download that fixes that? Also, mods don't necessarily need to abide by timelines. Just because the neraverine had to kill dagoth ur in order to facilitate the oblivion timeline doesn't mean you can't play the quests in game. And killing someones ancestor isn't going to ruin anything. If you want to be strict like that then that's any one persons decision but I don't see has to effect anyone elses gameplay. Anyway, this is an awesome project. Thanks to the creators.
EEEEHHHHH
Maybe I have an idea :I recently downloaded SoVvM mod to try it out,BUT that thing is just a piece of wild land with no cities nor towns nor people just animals and haradas everywhere. But the data contains ALMOST everything. perhaps you should ask about those armors and weapons.
Or Ivellon mod.
Or just put normal oblivion stile armor.
I agree with besshi
I wish to add something to my previous post here...
(I'm sorry Davidwolf for the offtop I continue here but I promise I speak something about armors:))) )... I wonder if there wouldn't be no chance at all to split an old and a new storyline of Morrowind, and maybe there is a chance!
You guys remember M.O.E.? In that group of mod there is one that allow you to start Oblivion main quest storyline AFTER you get arrested. So my point is, why would't apply this idea in mod that will split old and new storyline in Morrowind? In practice: you dont wan't to kill Dagoth Ur? There will be no Oblivion and a new Morrowind main storylines until you kill that bastard! The gates of Oblivion wouldn't opened in Morrowind, and a whole new storyline wouldn't even started there!
I think, that it would be much easier to work on old and new storyline in one mod, in the same time. Simply, during your mod work, that would give you a better possibility to refresh your knowledge about old NPC's. You would also have a chance to quickly compare the old dialogs with the new one, to make the both storylines more... more... (my english sucks..)...compact??
In case of imperial armors... the idea of taking models from SoVvM - maybe a good idea, but I havn't chance to see that models. I really wish to see in Morroblivion an old imperial armors in new look (like an awsome ordinator armor or bonemold or chittin(?) ) or simply replace the Morrowind armors with the Oblivion ones, eventually make few changes, so they would be more similiar to Morrowind ones.
It's ok besshi ;D You can
It's ok besshi ;D You can continue the Mainquest Discussion here:
http://morroblivion.com/forums/morroblivion/mods/340
I don't think the SoVvm team want us to take their original models, I have their extremely long readme in my documents and they say that, or at least it sounds like that. If anyone want's to ask for permission, please do so and let me know so I can include the meshes in MOTF.
Seeya!
Hi, I did not read the other
Hi, I did not read the other posts, but I would like to throw in my two cents. Here are my suggestions for armor for different towns.
Seyda Neen: Seince it is kind of a back-water town, why not give them some cheap armor, something like chainmail or leather, not too good quality.
Pelagiad: I would suggest a chainmail suit similar to the town guards in oblivion accepts that the currias is a black-purple-ish color with the Imperial Dragon symbol on it.
Moonmoth & Buckmoth: I would suggest the same thing as before for peligaid, save the NPCs who would normally wear knights armor. I think that a rectextured suit of imperial legion armor, in gold, with the dragon symbol on the front with a red embroidering around the dragon. And possibly a sheild with the same.
Ebonheart: I would just use the regular legion armor from Oblivion here. Seince it is the seat of the Empires power in Vvardenfell.
That's my opinion. I hope it helps. I'm new to this site but I already REALLY like the idea behind this. I really liked Morrowind, but playing Oblivion I kind of got lost in the 'New Hotness' deal. lol Good luck, and i'm going to try and keep posted.
besshis right
I agree with besshi if the source code and the original make of it have disappeared then every thing needs to be done in the CS bethesda doesn't want this made and weather or not they had some thing to do with the disapearences i dont know, but it can still be done so why is there only a few of the capable people doing it if its as popular as vvancev makes it to be it would have some major work done on it and the people who want a different main quest beacause it doesn't follow the story from oblivion why not when you travle to morrowind a little video comes on and the ship is sucked into some kind of time warp made by daedric magic and you cant leave until you finish the main story line but thats just my thoughts i would like to see the original story in oblivion style oh and to stop them from killing an NPC thats related to aa quest just click quest item in the NPCs data page then they fall unconcious and will revive in a short amount of time but i guess people would know that if they would open the editor

I dont know i would leave
