First off, welcome! Glad to see some new blood joining.
Second, is there anything in particular you'd like to work on? Generally, the project devs won't assign work for people -- people with talents usually just have to choose something that interests them, claim it, and proceed from there. I've seen a few talented people post introductions and get sort of frustrated because no one gives them direction or points them towards work... Something to consider. If you're serious about helping, you'll likely have to search the forums for your "area" and just get to work.
If you have some previous work you've done, you can also post it here -- that sometimes spark the devs into action, especially if they have a specific need for a specific talent and you fit the bill.
Either way, your help is needed and greatly appreciated! Looking forward to your work!
