Whenever I use bash and try to install either the Morroblivion files or the Vvardenfell imports, it stops responding and doesn't install. It's not just loading either because I've left it alone for a while and nothing changed. I'm running windows 7, and I've tried v275 and v291. Are they not compatible or is it just something I'm doing wrong?
I'm getting the same problem.
I'm getting the same problem. On the installers tab, it goes through the initialization process, then, when this is over, becomes unresponsive. Sometimes I can click on a mod, and attempt to change it's order, but it never works, as it soons become unresponsive again. I've reinstalled everything, and have it running as administrator in the c:/games/oblivion directory.
Use OBMM?
Use OBMM?
Ditto
I have the same exact Issue. I do not think it is that my computer is too slow: AMD 6Core Phenom2 processor, 8GB DDR3 Ram.
I haven't been able to use Wyre Bash for installing any mods. I resorted to just "Copy Pasta". And have many, many.. Many. Backups. :/
Also: Oblivion installed outside of program files. No UAC enabled, no antivirus, nothing that I can think of to interfere with it.
Pro tip: Using windows 7 x64 Professional. Dunno if it makes a difference. Either way. Thar ya go.
Just wanted to post and say
Just wanted to post and say I'm seeing the same thing... Bash takes forever when switching tabs or mods, then when I try to install it doesn't seem to make any progress and I need to force close the pythonw.exe process.
Also using Win 7 64 bit here... everything's installed on the C:\ drive outside of the Program Files directory.
Edit: Reinstalled Python and Bash... Bash still goes very slowly on the Install tab, but if I wait long enough everything works.
Same Problem
Yes i have same problem too.
Launching Wrye Bash, Clicking 'Installer' tab and waiting some time. Then when i try to install morroblion thing. I says
NOT RESPONDING. Please if anyone of you have any kind of information to fix this. Please share that information.
I am really desparate to get this work. Used like 7 hours straight today to get this working.
Specs:
Geforce 460 768mb
AMD Athlon X4 2,8 GHZ (was 630 maybe?)
4GT DDR 3 1333Mhz Ram
SATAII HDD
Asus Evo Motherboard with 2x pci-e slots.
Windows 7 64-bit (Ultimate)
I have uninstalled all files and tryed to install this thing again. Didn't help at all.
Thank You in advance !

Bash will run really slowly
Bash will run really slowly (or not work at all) if you are using Windows Vista | Windows 7 | Windows Server 2008 (R1 or R2) and you also have Oblivion installed in C:\Program Files\
If it is installed there, your only option is to reinstall somewhere else, such as C:\Games\ or something NOT part of the main windows installation.
I am running Win 7 64-bit, and Bash is still very slow switching tabs, even on my quad-core Intel i7 3.0ghz processor with 24GB of ram. Sometimes, it takes several minutes to switch to the installers tab. Really, I think my HDD is my limiting factor; I should probably switch to a solid state drive.
Also remember that if you have the installers tab open in Bash and then you switch to using a different program, there will be a lag (sometimes as much as a minute) after you go back to Bash. The best way to work in the Bash Installers tab is to:
1) Prep all of your mod folders in your C:\Games\Oblivion Mods\Bash Installers\
2) Open Bash and click the installers tab. Do not click on anything else or switch to another program (like a web browser or something) -- just WAIT.
3) Once it's done, work in the installers tab to a) rearrange your install order and then b) install your mods -- WAIT for each step to complete, and don't click on anything else or switch to another program
4) Once everything is installed, switch to a different tab, such as the "Mods" tab, and you can go back to using your computer normally.
Read my response to this post for more information on what you can do:

Got it working by waiting.
Got it working by waiting. Kinda fustrating, but better than not-working game. No need to reinstall because i have installed Oblivion & Morrowind GOTY to C:/Games
Thanks thermador !

If you're using Win7,
If you're using Win7, hopefully you didn't install Oblivion or Bash to c:\Program Files\
You may want to uninstall Wrye Bash and all of the Python things from the Control Panel and start over, that may fix things.
