Hmm, well, for starters, I guess this could've been just a post in some music related thread rather than a topic of its own, but whatever :P

At first I was very sceptical, because the latest works of Hans Zimmer draw me angry with how generic and boring he got. Especially the music he made for Batman.

This one has quite a bit of inspiration from Kubrick's approach to Space Odyssey (he only used classical music in there), Zimmer has obviously been inspired by J.S. Bach here. It sounds really good and original, loving these organs.

Not sure if it would be the best influence for Morrowind though, definetly captures some of the otherworldliness and wonder, but for referencing that, we already have master Soule himself and the original soundtrack. Heh, not only Morrowind's one. This one always made me think of travelling through Morrowind's volcanic parts. Wondrous, mysterious, kind of tribal to a degree. I sent it to Matt Raetzel as an example of what Molag Amur could sound like, really loved what he came up with for that region.

For ashlands itself I had something else in mind, more tribal and obviously portraying ashlander culture more. This is what I came up with, though it's still not quite finished, and some parts might be gotten rid of.

Organ music in the game would sure be interesting, but I feel it'd be somewhat difficult to implement it in the existing soundscape of TES.

Drago, another inspiration is also that minimalist approach, listen to Koyaanisqatsi by Glass. Some very similar sounding stuff.

personally i think the pragmatic desperate style of organ used would fit perfectly within tribunal temples, to show the slow decline and political en-ease within the walls.

Nah. I have a completely different idea for their temples, and organs don't apply.
