I get this message everytime i sleep. I've only been attacked once... but I still get this message.
I've tried to do the quest to fix it (But I don't think it is done yet) so i can't complete it.
Actually that starts Tribunal. As you have finished Morrowind you must be strong enough to deal with them. You should go to Mournhold and get to the second quest.

I haven't finished Morrowind yet... and I said that i tried to do the Dark Brotherhood quest... I killed all the brotherhood guys + that guy with the contract in the sewers, but I still get that message. And I don't get any quest updates when I talk to the guards...
Still happening in v030
The Dark Brotherhood attacks do start early in your game in Morrowind it's normal. They stop after you visit mournhold and do the mission. I'm currently playing morrowind and was first attacked by the Dark Brotherhood at level 2.

While sleeping im still getting interrupted by the message.
Sounds like theres definitely a problem then!
Hey, I think I found the problem.
Ash gouls also approach you in your sleep. This could be what's happening.
I only get the message and no one appears
But i think the problem is gone now (not sure)
That doesn't happen until after you kill dagoth gares, but yeah maybe.
Well right now i'm getting the something approaching you in your sleep message a bunch. I'm currently Not in the morrowind realm. When I am in the morrowind realm, I get woken up and it's an ash ghoul. Over in the oblivion realm it just wakes me up and said something approaches you in your sleep.
What realm are you currently playing in where you're experiencing something coming in your sleep and not seeing anything?

I've been experiencing the ash ghoul every time I sleep too. It's rather annoying.
/facepalm...
maybe thats why I get that message... I should really pay more attention... But the only time I've been attacked by an ash ghoul is when I entered Balmora

Yeah I've gotten it too. Not every time, but a few times. I even had the made a quick save Before I slept just to see if maybe they didn't show up because of where I was, but even sleeping outside or whatever, they never showed up to fight me.
