Greetings, all. I'm a 27 year-old American male who is a programmer by day and a graphic designer and voice actor by night. My voice is definitely in the lower ranges (I've been told I sound like Steve Blum when I speak normally, which I take as a compliment). While I'm working, I'm high energy and really get into my characters, so I hope that helps.
I greatly enjoy character voices and would love to tackle mostly Dunmer voices (I can do a mean Big Boss (MGS:PW style)), but am up for Nord, Khajiit, Argonian, Daedra, Altmer, even Redguard; you name it, I'm up for it (so long as it's a masculine character, or if you want it to be hilarious). I could do Breton, Imperial, etc, but those might be better left for others.
I don't have a home studio (although I do have a MacBook Pro Retina, which has some fairly decent built-in hardware), but I do have access to a studio. Since that tends to cost money, any submissions that I make will probably be on the Mac. Any suggestions on a good, cheap mic and simple changes that could be made to my home office are welcome, by the way.
I've done some searching around on the forum here for a cast list and I found a Google doc, but there seems to be some confusion as to what is the official list or generally how this whole thing works.
I've dumped probably in the neighborhood of thousands of hours into Morrowind (including Tribunal and Bloodmoon) and hundreds into both Oblivion and Skyrim and am familiar with the races, species, Daedra, Aedra, etc. Most of my experience with Morrowind was years ago, so this gives me cause for a refresher. :)
My demo reel isn't quite fleshed out (and I might be violating NDA with some character voices, so I need to check that out), so I'll be posting that one upon request. Anywho, thanks, and while I may be a bit late to the party, I'm looking forward to working with you fine ladies and gentlemen.
-Mike
