Redoran market:
1. Some parts of Silt Strider can be used in the construction of market stall.
2. Old concept by Michael Kirkbride was inspired me to make this version of market.
3. Simple construction of tent.
4. Tent for rich merchants.

Outstanding!
Awesome! Great designs, and a really good feeling of the culture!
Number 1 and 3 don't have an image associated to it.
Is it a mistake by RobinDumina, is it supposed to be like that or is "my" forum crashing and not showing them?
Each of the images has two stalls, four in total :P
Oh, right...
Didn't have numbers on the images, so I didn't associate them... My mistake.
Anyway, these are looking great, keep it up!
we need more. anyone gonna fill up the rest of them? need another 8-12.
Lukkar hasnt responded.
New idea for a Velothi cave market, inspired by this great work by Baoto:
A bazaar in the cliffs, since there are already Velothi tunnel homes carved out of the Gnisis cliffs. It could be used in Gnisis or Balmora, since Balmora has some tunnels as well (primarily for the Skooma trade). So some Dunmeri stalls like that would be great, I love what's there so far!
just postin here since I confirmed with Rav: I'll be doing 8 more stalls in hlaalu, imperial, redoran, and ashlander style
Also Ice i love the idea, the two levels of height sort of reminds me of the waistworks interiors in Vivec, with the "pit" in the middle
Discoccult, it's will be good if you help with another stalls.
Some stalls for Iceflame542:
Ashlander market:
I will finish hlaalu stalls tomorrow (I hope)
Nice. Would be there semi-fungal tent for Telvanni?
I'm not sure if it's 100% decided, but I'm supposed to be one of the people assigned to work on modeling these stalls when they're ready.
So, if you don't mind telling me, who else will I be working with? I heard there would be other modelers working on different sets.
Hlaalu:
For diversity, this one could have several shades (the right side)
[Edited]
I was so jealous, that I've done for Telvanni. I will do some for Hlaalu, Redoran, Ashlanders too. But they will compatible with Roman design.
and one more
4. is just scenery combined with telvanni roots and slime molds 1.a 1.b. Quite symbolic representation. Walls will be more dense of course. I'm not sure if we can archive "dotted" light here in tunnel. But it will be cool anyway. There can be some flowers, ivies, moss or other colorful things too. Some references video1 and video02. 5. is cut off podbud
Bravo lads :)
Amazing concept Lukkar!
I've done some update.
----------------
Some notes. Ashlanders are nomads, so they don't have anything too permanent to built. I will move this two to Redoran. They are quite similar visually to this one. I think I will do stalls for ashlanders today (based more on yurts)
Would be nice to use space under small living house of corresponding trader.

However such asset can be too much unique.

Quite cool idea, I hope this is not too heavy. I see it in some smaller telvanni village as some unique architecture. The same roots could be placed everywhere.
So great concepts in this thread :)

Another relevant idea : we have pointers to the path to settlements, then with city growth and potential of ashlander (and maybe some contrabands) traders - would be good to have advertisements as pointers to such isolated traders. Maybe some new objects can be added as reference points to make shorter and more clear quest's explanation of paths.
alysander wrote:
Honestly I'm not fan of this. There will be too much of everything. Maybe only when they will be some triggers that yurts can moving from one place to another. But I'm more on sth near settlements. They are nomads anyway. I don't think this is hard to do, but maybe I'm wrong.
----------------------------
I've done more for Redoran:
For Hlaalu:
The really big one. Changing hue can give us more versions. We can do it the same with this one.
And unique special one for Seyda Neen
Quite conservative, but it get quite a lot of customization with ivies, flowers, mushrooms etc.

It would be really cool if you do sth for imperials. Maybe sth all in wood. Other concept artist for it, will keep it fresh and unique. But if you want you can o some additional too.
So we need to work out a lot of stuff so that when it comes to coordinating these stalls we get them right.
if anyone wants to make one of these. please let me know so i can make sure there are no double ups. Some people have just started working on them without letting us know. Please do not do this if you want your work to be in skywind.
I say this because (a few unnamed people) have 'claimed' some, however they did not tell me until it was far too late as I had already assigned someone else to do it.
please refer to the trello for any assets that need making. don't start making random crap as it does not help us and the chances of it getting used is quite slim.

Here are the links to the market stalls that i have put up so far. However I will be splitting them up as there is a lot more interest from a lot of artists who also want to make these.
Ok, a little update on Trello. have split up all the images into seperate jobs so that we can track these better. Please use the textures provided,

If anyone has any issues with the names of the cards then let me know so that I can rename them.
looks like y'all seem to have this covered for the most part, dang (a good dang! I love a lot of these)
I'm working on a batch of hlaalu now, they are far less rectangular and boxy than other ones that have been shown here. my idea was to use the sort of warped wood that is seen on the hlaalu interiors, to keep it in line with the established hlaalu aesthetics and sort of separate it from the already boxy imperial ones. plus, it'll give it kind of a cool funkier shape against the flat hlaalu exterior walls
I'll do some imperial ones after I finish these hlaalu :D

Really cool idea, edgy and solid like the rest.
I have some ideas for imperial, If you're interested. Imperials are from Cyrodiil, so some Renaissance accents will fit here good IMHO. A lot of not too saturated, bright colors in contrast to Hlaalu with Renaissance patterns. Wooden elements can has some decorating too, sth in this tune (1, 2), but you can find a lot different examples on your own.
Some more inspiration (1, 2)
-------------
I noticed that these stalls will be looking very off in Bitter Coast, so when we have already done shacks we can just use roof of that and stick wooden beams to them.
I have nothing against people flexing their creative muscle and giving/showing ideas, but haven't the main styles of the market stalls been decided on, making Lukkar's contributions rather unnecessary?
Again, nothing against him providing more examples, but will his work change something of what has been already decided upon?
I'm not sure if everything is set in stone quite yet, I believe that Discoccult was requested to make some as well for Hlaalu, which utilize the curved wood style of Hlaalu interiors for some unique overhangs.
I created concept for imperial stalls. They fit to Caldera, Pelagiad and Ebonheart.
Optional is for Ebonheart (which IMHO should be total redesigned, I hope Roman could interest this one)
Not sure if the dragon is necessary there, I don't see Chinese merchants around here putting flags on their market stands :P It's a bit like Denevir's overdone symbolism politics, even a harbour crane needed a dragon, because it is an IMPERIAL CRANE!
Other than that, they look great!
Perhaps the ones in Ebonheart could have the East Empire Company logo burnt on the fabric, and sell exotic goods imported from other provinces.
Hmm, many houses have signs, so I thought it will fit here too. But maybe I will do with EEC and other one with some fancy floral patterns.

Leave a few without fancy patterns at all. The repetition will be less obvious and the market looks more natural. Just the stripes without the dragons already look good.
@Drago
Fixed and it was quite nice idea.

I only partly agree, but thanks for feedback.
Yep, that looks good to me ;) Oh, another thing, optional. People in the old times wouldn't light everything up with torches, they're pretty impractical for that purpose. Torches sticking out of everywhere are a myth. If we'd like a bit of realism, it'd be cool to light up the big stalls with this kind of lamps:

There was one lamp like that in Morrowind if I'm not mistaken. They produce a bit less light than a torch, and thanks to that they're not blinding in the night. They also burn much, much longer and don't produce as much smoke. Generally it's better to have 10 candles than one torch, tried it out myself :P
Not sure if we want to go on a crusade against usage of torches everywhere, but these lamps do feel a bit more "merchanty" to me. Or you could just use enclosed candle lanterns. Or you could leave it as is, I'm only throwing the idea out there ;)
