Small Book Idea

Submitted by AngryWoman on

Hi all,

Since the daedric language is how they write in Morrowind, I believe would be a good immersion idea to have certain books translated in a daedric font, and/or in the dunmeri language, or both as one. You would have two versions of a book, indeed, but the ones in those languages would be scattered across Morrowind, like the barenziah stones in Skyrim. Just like those, a little "collect them all" sidequest. The books I was thinking of translating into their language would be the essential ones, those that the natives actually would read, e.g. 'The Affairs of Wizards' (Telvanni faction book) and 'The Pilgrims Path' (Tribunal Temple faction book) and so on...

It's more a question of implementation than actual writing, because we'd have to make new objects for the game and all that. However small. I've spoken to Justafan about this, and if this would get (dev) approval, we'd start working on it. There, that was my idea/suggestion. What do you all think?

i think that can be good idea if you are linguist and can make whole text translated, not only letters changed.

and make most of dunmers phrases speaking on dunmerish (or imperial) language with english subtitles
Have you ever noticed how easy phrases like 'N'wah' or 'sera' is acclimatized as memes?
