issues with morrowind/morroblivion/oblivion mods

Submitted by flipp_of_black_marsh on

Just wondering guys if any morrowind mods( i have played morrowind stand alone before i installed morroblivion) would conflict with any oblivion/morroblivion mods or whatnot and cause a crash on startup.

-edit-
don't worry i think i fixed it, had to bash oatch again,
lol been a while since i been on here and actually used morroblivion

I think you misunderstand how this works.

Morrowind is on a different engine than Oblivion. Saves from your Morrowind game will not work in Oblivion (even with the Morroblivion mod). Likewise, mods from Morrowind will not work on Oblivion (even with Morroblivion).

ok so, i'm not sure if i should start a new thread or not for this issue.
but somewhere a conflict or something or rather is happening where i have this strange partial overlay above ground.
and always when i am underwater(causing me to not see a thing while i am underwater)
is there an ini fix to this? or a texure conlfict occuring somewhere.

yeh, i figured that not long after i sent it through lol, seeing it's all running through the oblivion engine and all

in the underwater ones i used nighteye as well so you could get a better example.
the above ground one it's over cast and a bit faint.
occasionally though it's a bit woah hence why i added the screenshot from the fringe

I don't see anything wrong in Balmora screenshot [External image]

Anyway, if it's also happening in Shivering Isles, then it's not a Morroblivion problem. Try deleting your Oblivion.ini

From your other thread I see that you're using Oblivion Reloaded. The graphical problems might be caused by that mod.

the balmora one i uploaded is very faint, sometimes it's a bit more opaque? lol.

that one is not too much of a hassle it's more the underwater i'm worried about.

I will have a look at reloaded and see if that's the problem.

AH oblivion reloaded does seem to be causing a conflict with morroblivion.
thank you sir Brainslasher.

Can you try to see if the bug present itself without the bashed patch? It may be that the WB failed to import properly OblivionReloaded.esp water modifications(sometimes happpen).

it's not just water though,

mmmh I use OR myself with Morroblivion and never got any glitches. Did you modified the shader package (the spd files)? Did you modified Oblivion.ini graphical settings? Did you changed default OR settings? Did you have all requisites listed from OR page? This is not a conflict with Morroblivion at all.(there are some minor trouble with custom worldspaces but this isn't one)
