Pathetic creature... | Morroblivion

Apparently I need to 'learn to dress myself before going out', everywhere in Morrowind. Only factions who I have a high disposition towards do not inform me that I'm naked or otherwise comment on my appearance. I'm wearing armor that appears to be Oblivion in origin (leather), instead of a Morrowind specific armor/clothes. Here's my mod list:

I was hoping to get a little insight on this, as it's pretty immersion breaking (and insulting, they're not nice at all about it)!

Also, no enchanted items in the game work. No constant effects or any magical effects at all when equipped.

Seriously though, this is not a bug - NPC in this game actually comment on what you wear. Equip something more expensive if you don't like what they say.

Haha, I remember that. In my current playthrough, I was decked out in full netch leather, and everyone was giving me crap for it (hypocrites) but then I found some orcish armour and all of a sudden it's, "wealth beyond measure, outlander".

The comments NPCs use are based on the value of your equipment. Wear expensive stuff, and NPCs will be nicer. :)

I remember this from the original, but I mean, they were saying I was NAKED. Not, dressed poorly. I remember the 'you look poor' comments from Morrowind back when I was a kid, but when I wear armor that is Cyrodillic in nature in Morrowind, it's like it doesn't exist to the NPC's. As soon as I put Chitin armor on, it stopped.

Caius went "Oooh, you're naked. Spare me." When I was wearing cloth pants, sack cloth shirt, etc. I was a huge fan of the original on Xbox as a kid, I remember the first things I'd buy were expensive amulets and rings to stop the rude comments about being a poor street urchin. This is a different issue entirely.
