I'm getting some work done on Dagon Fel, here's some initial progress:

I wonder how Sorkvild's tower would look with a balcony. Also, with all the Dwemer stuff around here, Dagon Fel would be a good place for an Imperial Archeological Society presence.

I'd prefer not to see the rock arch next to the town, kind of like save it for exploring, rather than look at me. I guess thats the problem of having several designer in an area.
Can we use any Skyrim houses? I think it would be nice to have at least one or two typically Nordic huts to show that it's mainly a Nordic settlement, and as far as I know it is.
That will be good to see more shacks and homes instead of this arch (they must be really rare).
I hope to see at least small village with 80-120 nords (they must swarm like vikings in their homes).
That is one of 4 arches in the entire area. But it's up to Ice what to do with it.
I'm working on making a new rock formation setup without the arch, but if it ends up that the arch looks better, I'll restore it.
As for making it feel more nordic, rather than using buildings from Skyrim I'm planning on cluttering/decorating around the shacks with inspiration from places like Jorvik (from what I can find online of a restoration):
I'm also considering the possibility of adding a fishing and Horker-hunting ship that only shows up on certain days, where it brings in Horker meat and Ghost Haddock from the Sea of Ghosts for the End of the World inn (speaking of horkers, will they look the same as Skyrim's, or are there any plans to add a layer of fur and webbed tusks?).
Great idea with ship. You could add shift people (appearing only when ship is on docks) in tavern with it.
Will they be hunting on Solstheim? That can add some "feel of world integration".
As long as it looks Norse I'm happy ;)
Here's an attempt to make the windows look Nordic, I added some clutter around the shack too:
Id say these Whiterun shacks would be the best candidates. Retexture so they don't have the classic blue paint.
Is any possibility to add hanged nets and baskets under roof? Or even drying fish near port(1, 2)? I always associated in some degree Norse culture with fishing.
I was planning on adding hanging fish, but all I have to use is the hanging salmon from Skyrim. I'd think the kinds of fish found around the waters of Dagon Fel would be Ghost Haddock and scalyfin and others like that.
