My character has a damage endurance effect, supposedly from Gripes Charm, that won't go away. It saps my endurance down to zero even though it only says 10 in active effects page. How can I get rid of this?
My best guess is in Vemynal
My best guess is in Vemynal or Kogoruhn.
I have the exact same issue
I have the exact same issue with the same enchantment. apparently it's from an amulet but I never had this amulet in the first place. I tried this in the console "player.dispell gripes_en" but it seems oblivion doesn't recognize the morrowind ID. Have you found any solution? I see the post is a year old.
You can try "player
You can try "player.DispelAllSpells" which should remove any active effect.
dispelallspells doesn't work
dispelallspells doesn't work on enchantment item, which is where that effect comes from. Although I don't have the item, never wore it.
Can you provide a savegame so
Can you provide a savegame so we can take a look? I never had such effect and I'm curious about how it works and what can be done about it.
This is my last saved game. I
This is my last saved game. I noticed none of the Morrowind ID work in the console (let say I want to add an item or set the stage of a quest that is bugging.) is this because the ID changed in the converted version?
Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately I can't load
Unfortunately I can't load your savegame. It crashes my Oblivion. It might be related to the fact that it was created with certain mods, for example Knights of the Nine, which I don't have. Maybe someone else can take a look.
Save file Loaded no Problems
Save file Loaded no Problems Is only a Basic Load Order. If you are Starting your Game in Cyrodiil, Use the New, Morrowind_ob - Chargen and Transport Mod. V11 i think.. the 1 you are using could Create Errors. Download out of the Download Page..
Your Player is Standing in front of Venasa Sarano

Roxon, I think I got you confused there. [External image]
I don't have problems with my game. It runs perfectly fine. I just can't load FJ-tes' savegame to take a look at his "sticky enchantment" problem because I don't have Nights of the Nine.
Since you are able to load his savegame maybe you want to take a look why he has this sticky damage endurance effect and how to get rid of it.
Save Game Should Load ,I dont
Save Game Should Load ,I dont have Knights of the Nine, Tree Replacer,UCWUS Running in my Game . Did see the Constant Running Endurance Effect. it is a Touch Effect With a Duration of 1 , so you could Pick it while being Attacked by the Npc who has the Amulet on.
Load a Save file Before it Happened to see if Can be Picked up Again.
Ok, looks like one of my mods
Ok, looks like one of my mods is incompatible with the savegame. After disabling all mods except Morroblivion I was able to load the savegame and I found a solution to the "sticky gripes charm" problem.
In the console enter:
player.dispel 0104004b
This is the form ID of the gripes charm enchantment "0gripesUen" and the command will remove the effect from the character.
PS: Your character also has a disease. I would cure that too if I was you. [External image]
It worked, Thank you so much!

it's ok I have all the cure spell haha :P thanks for pointing it out
where do you find the form ID? online I was only able to find the ID "gripes_en".
You can find the form ID
You can find the form ID either in the Construction Set but the form ID column is collapsed by default so you have to expand it. Or you can use TES4Edit.
Also keep in mind that when loading only one mod out of x in CS or TES4Edit you will have to figure out the first two characters of the form ID on your own. It depends on the load order. It's easy with Oblivion.esm which is always 00 or Morrowind_ob.esm which is always 01 if installed correctly. You can see the first two characters in Wrye Bash for example in the load order column.
ok, so basically if I wrote
ok, so basically if I wrote "player.dispel 01gripes_en" it should have worked as well?
No. In the console you can
No. In the console you can only use the numerical form IDs or reference IDs for most game objects.
These are built from xx (load order) plus yyyyyy (object ID). So in case of the gripes charm enchantment the form ID is 01 plus 04004b which combines to 0104004b. If Morrowind_ob.esm would be 5th in your load order for example the form ID would be 05 plus 04004b which combines to 0504004b.
Only in scripts you can use the editor ID of an object. So "player.dispel 0gripesUen" would only work in a script.

Where did you get it?
