The Quest for Voice Overs

Submitted by Ice Eyes on

Now I know that the "Voice Overs" thread is the official thread for the effort to bring voices to some of the characters in Morroblivion, but (and I hope people don't mind me saying) I want to put forward this idea:

Now since I'm a kind of perfectionist, I can't help but think that, at the moment, there's not much organization in the voice over department.  :p

So this is a humble idea I suggest :)   - On Google Wave (yes I know some of you might not know what it is!) I have started a new "wave" the idea being we can use this for the exchange of files (mp3s, e.tc.) easily for the voice overs. This way, someone voicing a character can record their voice for whatever topics, upload them to the wave, give the modders a shout and then they can go and get it. I think it would be a fast, efficient "repository" for the exchange of files.

To find the wave I've made just search for "Morroblivion Voice Wave" it should be the first one that comes up.

Another good idea I think would be is if the modders made say a word document for one some character's topic. Put the lines on for that topic and then put it on the wave. Tell the voice actor for the character and then they can do the lines e.t.c

I will of course help in the effort (if of course everyone agrees this would be a good idea! :) )

It's okay if you don't like the idea but I just thought it might speed things up (?)

I google "Morroblivion Voice Wave" and I the first result is this thread. How do I get there?

I found it using "with:public morroblivion" in the google wave search bar.

So do you think this would be a useful idea?  :p

I'll try out Google Wave and see how it works. Looks interesting. But for updates and important info I'm going to keep posting here on the forums. The forums is where all the Morroblivion development takes place and I'd like to be consistent with that. But if you want to use Google Wave to collaborate as we progress through, then yeah, I'm all for that.
