COMPLETED Coder Reporting For Duty!

I remember hearing about this project a long time ago, I thought that this was just too ambitious at the time. Looking at what you all have accomplished now, I can gladly say you made me look like a fool for doubting that this could be done. I, like many others have a passion for the Elder Scrolls Series and have always dreamt of a Morrowind rework.

I have been working on a few small video game projects myself in the Unity Game Engine the past couple years. The most completed of which were sadly put on indefinite hiatus. This was due to my employers underestimating the size of their ideas and the importance of art and level design. Since then I have started working on my own private ideas and have been enjoying it. However after stumbling across your project again I realized I want to work with a team of people that are driven and can teach me more about game development than I could ever learn on my own.

Of course I will put my personal projects on hold while working on this if I am accepted.

Working on this project would mean more to me than any small game I could create on my own. The kid in me would not let me walk away without trying to be apart of this amazing project.

I have a lot of experience working with teams and professionally work in a true agile programming environment.

You will not have to baby, I will learn everything I can on my own but will always take advice and guidance from others when given. I understand I am the rookie in this environment and will do my best to help bring this dream to life.

I understand programmers are a dime a dozen, however I will treat this like a professional project were some others may not.

My credentials on my form are very brief and if you need more information please let me know.

Thank you so much for time

Hey! Really good to hear that we're getting someone with programming experience. Just recently we've lost a few contributors who did just that. Possibly the first thing you would probably look into would be model rigging (putting a model in the game and having it animate and morph properly is no easy task), though of course it will probably be on the programming team to give you a task ;)

Ah EXCELLENT!

Now I really only know the basics of model rigging, considering the Unity game engine has a lot of tools to help minimize that effort. I do however understand that is an essential task and worth learning if I plan to continue to work on video games in my spare time.

So if there are no scripting/coding needs for the project ill definitely learn and help rig up some models, but if there are any scripting tasks available... ;)

I am just a little more than excited to work on some cool and unique features :D. I am getting giddy just thinking about it!

Trying to implement animations might be jumping in with both legs, if I were you I would suggest easing it to it with smaller tasks.

Aurabelle and Maxnosense are running the coding department. They actually have a mentor program that introduces CK and coding. Depending on how familiar you are with CK and Papyrus, it might be of interest. Either way, one of those should comment here soon :)

I could always use some willing to pick up questwork/papyrus scripting if you're interested. Otherwise Max/Aurabelle handle the main programming tasks.

I completely agree that going to animation with my knowledge would come with an immediate large hurdle. So I am definitely more interested in writing scripts and working on coding needs ;)

As for taerkalith's offer, I actually think that sounds like a lot of fun!

I still want to speak with Max/Aurabelle and see if there mentor program is something to look into.

So if they have nothing for me to look into I would love to look into questwork and scripting.

Cool Tadams. Just let me know if the mentor thing doesn't sound like what you want to do and fire me a message. Otherwise I wish you the best with the game mechanics opportunities, there are some cool ones there.

Hey Tadams, sorry it's taken so long for you to hear from me or Max!

Of course, you're more than welcome to join our team!

You'll find more information on the mentor program here, and please feel free to message me if you have further questions about it :)

Thats awesome, I will start looking into the mentor program tonight :D

I don't have any experience in coding/programming, but I'm good with following directions and would love to learn and (eventually) help with this project. Any chance you guys could hook me up?

Awesome Tadams, I'll look forward to hearing from you.

PROJECT Jungle, if you're interested in learning the mentor program might be the way to go, though you might find it useful to have a look into some separate tutorials to object-oriented programming first, as we assume most people have some knowledge in that area. Feel free to message me if you've got questions, and the link to the info on the mentor program is a few posts up :)
