Morroblivion Mess-Up Manual (WIP)

Submitted by Sentinel on

I used to do some navmeshing for Skywind a long time back, but I stopped because I wasn't that good.

However, there is something I do fairly well. I'm proficient at locating and analyzing bugs, glitches, and crashes. For example, I'm the creator of this "mod" for Skyrim on the Skyrim nexus: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48262/?

I was wondering if anyone would like me to try and do the same for Morroblivion, and possibly (when I get my hands on the files), Skywind. Bear in mind, I make mistakes, but I learn from them. That's why my mod has gone through so many revisions.

There are several issues I have identified with Morroblivion already through my playing of it. I have isolated a few and discovered a few causes. If I can't find the solution, I can at least find the trigger or catalog the issue.

Any thoughts? I'm like a human troubleshooter.

Well, of course you can report bugs. That's one of the things these forums are for :)

Here is the first copy of a similar "mod": Morroblivion Mess-Up Manual.

Bear in mind, I need people to also report bugs so I can test them to find out their cause and triggers.

I've only encountered two so far, and this is reflected in the file. I will update as more are discovered. Would you like me to upload this to Nexus?

Had not been to Koal Cave, so went there then to Gnisis 3 Different ways  back an fourth, have not crashed game. Map Marker is on Map. Have not Been in Cave or done Quest.

Regarding this, I tried everything I could think of to figure out the cause.

1. Not entering Koal Cave, but being in the general area. No crash.

2. Entering Koal Cave, donating Dreugh Wax, receiving blessing, killing Dreugh Warlord, receiving enchanted Dreugh Cuirass, no crash.

3. Exiting cave and fast traveling to Gnisis, no crash.

4. Walking back to Gnisis, crash.

See, everything that should have been the culprit was ruled out. The only thing left is the discovery of the map marker.

Another possibility is a quest conflict. You said you have not done the quest yet, nor entered the cave.

Is it possible doing the Pilgrimages out of order leads to this?
