Overall model is great. Maybe I am a bit picky but soul gems should have defined colors like in original. Just changing hue. Some colors like in this example

Moving on to Azuras Star. I

Moving on to Azuras Star. I know Ravanna made a sculpt of this but it was forever ago and he never did anything more with it beyond a concept. I talked with Eloth and he gave me the green light for it. I originally thought of completely redesigning the star but after some thought I decided to update the original found in both morrowind and oblivion for consistancy. The new star will look more like the pendant found in the second image.

Okay Im necroing this thread.

Okay Im necroing this thread. I had to take a haitus for personal real life issues but Im back now and hopefully I can contribute more substantially. First topic is the bonemold guard. I know that someone else is working on the hlallu guard but I believe this one is okay for the time being.

I plan on making daily updates when possible to motivate me to stay on track. Feel free to paint over, improve, critique, etc.

This is looking great so far,
This is looking great so far, except I can't help but feel it looks too close-fitting, anyone else getting that? I feel bonemold should be a chunkier armour than say steel - it's not such a hard, dense material and would need to be thicker to be effective - bone is quite porous and lightweight. Also such close fitting armour would just give the impression to me of something too tailored for a common guard outfit.

True, it isn't the type of bonemold worn by any guards though.

You have free/unprotected

You have free/unprotected zone under shoulders.
You could use it for some bone/metal/cloth mark of distinction/personality (maybe specific for family/tribe alike fetish/talisman).
This could help to make guards not so generic.

Hey, I have a small

Hey, I have a small suggestion. I'm not a smith so my knowledge in this matter is not that big but maybe it seems reasonable to make this armor bit more raw. What I'm trying to say is that bonemold armor is made from mix of bone meal and resin-like material according to http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Bonemold_Armor_%28Dragonb...

Therefore, it is a composite material similar to those made in matrix etc. I don't think that creatures in TES universe (even Dwemers) have technology able to make that thin armors from this mix.

A large amount of bonemold in composite makes material fragile. To prevent from this we need thicker shape. Even with this, single sword hit can cause crack in the surface.

You may say that armor would be heavier then and that is true but we cannot forget that bones have much lower density than resin so it will not be as heavy as it seems to be. Eventually that is why this is not the best armor in the game.

For me the general shape of armor that you've made is great but you should try to get thicker armor and more rough material like in here:

My thinking is that since

My thinking is that since there are over 8 varients for the bonemold armor, this guard armor would be the base generic set.

It has come to my attention

It has come to my attention that another artist is working on bonemold armor so I have shelved the guard armor for the time being. In the meantime, I have talked with Ravanna and Dragomir and they think it would be best if I work on some of the alternative bonemold helmets instead. The concepts are from this first image. I will be working on number 1 and will go down the line as I finish each one in turn.

This is a three part side view that I will update as I go. Nexos, if you are reading this, I would like to do regular paint overs with you and make corrections/improvements to the designs to make them look better and be more proportionate to the base game body. Dont worry about color or fine details for now, we can worry about that when the high poly meshes are finalized and I move on to texturing and paint. Greyscale is fine for now.
