No wildlife sounds at all

Submitted by Unholymess on

Hi everyone, did a search for this and couldn't find anything but apologies if this has already been discussed.

Been playing Morroblivion all day and VERY impressed so far. However it just occured to me that there are no wildlife sounds, no birds, crickets, toads in the swamp etc all I get is the oblivion music and the kinda eerie wind sound every once in a while. Rain sounds play when appropriate too, the only thing that seems to be missing are the ambient, environmental sounds of wildlife.

Is this normal? Or is it something I've done wrong in the installation?

Any light that you guys can shed would be appreciated.

thanks

Unholy

Wait, I've just realise, I'm being an idiot. The sounds I so fondly remember from Morrowind were from the Bitter Coast Sounds official DLC weren't they?

Ok, new question then, is there a way to make that mod work with Morroblivion? Can it be merged into the esm during conversion somehow, or would that not work?

I dont think its possible to convert morrowind mods to Morroblivion, but i recommend that you download "Audia Arcanum" also known as Atmospheric Oblivion mod from Tesnexus. It brings tons of Wildlife sounds all over Oblivion and from what i could tell it worked in Morroblivion. Its truly an amazing mod, check it out people:)

oooh ok, I'll check that one out, I didn't think Oblivion mods would work because I thought the sound "generators" (for want of a better term) had to be manually placed. But I shall most definitely look into this mod, thanks! :)

My bad, i check it better this time and it seems it does not work in Morrowind:(, apologies from false information. It could be nice if that mod could be made work with Morrowind.

No worries man, yeah I've just discovered that it doesn't work :( wish I knew how to go about making something similiar for morroblivion because the sounds on nature in morrowind were one of the things I most loved, they add so much atmosphere.

Also, just found a post from Hashmi1 saying that he/she was going to work on bittercoast sounds for Morroblivion, just wondering if there has been any progress on that?
