Hello! I'm Jonathan Carpenter, I just joined the concept art guys, and for my first concept and test for the project I was given "The Fang of Hanyekhtnamet". It is the fang of a swamp beast from the Black Marsh, that has been carved down into a knife and holds electricity powers. Here are the silhouettes, and more will come soon. Would love any and all feedback.

12 is my favourite.
Alright, jokes aside - I love them all, but 6, 10, 11 and 13 are in my opinion some of the coolest. 14 doesn't look that much like a fang, but it resembles the original a bit, while 15 looks the most like a fang, which I also like, though it makes it a little bit less useful as a dagger. My final vote would probably go for the 13, if the spikes went all the way - look at shark teeth for reference ;)
I like 1,6 and 13. I agree with Dragomir about 13, the spikes would look great going all the way up like a shark tooth, though for a fang that might not be the best choice. Which is why my choice would either be 1 or 6 as they both remind me more of a fang from a jungle cat or snake, very sleek in design. I'd say use the handle from 6 on the blade of 1.
I agree with Jaybob, the handle of 6 on 1's blade would be perfect.
Good work! 1 is my fav, I really like the elegant, slim shape and it looks simple, but also remindable.
Whatever shape will be voted most in future, I think the jewelry strings at the grips are a great idea and should be implemented! Even without animation they will be a good addition to weapons visual diversity.
1 and 6 are my favorites. I'm little more than a forum lurker, so I don't know what my opinion is worth, but I'm going to cast my vote behind what Jaybob_the_bobjay said: blade of 1, handle of 6. And maybe add those strings from 1's handle to the handle of 6 as well (although that might be overdoing it).
Hey guys, Thanks for your feedback. I've taken everyone's input into consideration and narrowed the design down to 3 sketches. Let me know what you guys think.
Wow, great!!! I´ld go with V3, I still prefer the thin blade and like the overall shape. Perhaps you can give the blade a slightly stronger cutting edge, now it seems to be mostly a sting weapon? But skyrims dagger anims are the same as sword hits -.-
I like look of 2 the most, though I prefer the runic carvings to the snake motif.
I would have to go with 1 for the reason purely that it appears the most like a fang. I think one of the great pleasures of finding artifacts is that they really are so alien and in some cases even absurd. For this reason I would err on the side being a little more fang-like and less like a dagger.
I love how it looks like there is a serpent wrapping itself around number 3. Very cool!
Alrighty, I have finished with the final version. I decided to give it a cutting edge since the attack animations in skyrim are the same as other bladed weapons, as FDT2 pointed out. Since it was carved from a fang, and isn't just a fang they picked up it felt as if it fit. Let me know what you guys think =).
1 looks the most interesting to me, maybe doesn't look exactly like a snake fang, but it identifies quicker as a part of an animal. Runic carvings look great too ;)
Very well done! I like it, nothing to critisize for me! Great job!!!
Looking good, and man, were you fast!
Bam done. ready to sculpt.
NEEEXTTT :D
Excellent work, it looks bad ass, definitely gets the point across of where its from.
