Hello community!

I've been following this project's progress for over a year now and finally decided to apply, so here we go.

I'm a 27-year-old who spent way too much time on Tamriel. Now I want to help bring the charm of Vvardenfell back to life and be part of a project I can see continuing well beyond even Skywind.

Profesionally I'm a C++ programmer at Nokia. I work in the LTE R&D department with a primary focus on performance optimization. This can obviously be useful for all coding-related work. I can get around CK and understand Papyrus so there is definitely some potential here if you can find some task for me. If you need programming work in other areas, I can also help. As an interesting side note, I also know DirectX and I'm working on a graphics engine in my free time. I also made a Bomberman 3D clone back in my college years and my master's thesis was about game theory and contract bridge, so I'm definitely into making games ;)

I could also be of some help in various other areas. Other than coding, I am primarily interested in level and quest design. I fiddled around in Unreal Development Kit (UE3), Hammer (HL2) and Creation Kit (Skyrim), although pretty much all of this work was very bare and never got too far beyond online tutorials. I can however get around 3D spaces in pretty much any tool and find level design to be very satisfying in general, even though I don't really have anything to be too proud of in that regard. If you can find a specific area to test me in, I would really appreciate that.

Other than coding and landscaping, I would also be willing to take on other tasks you may find for me in modeling, animation or sound mixing. Here I do not have really any experience to speak of, but I would like to try nevertheless. Basic tutorial level knowledge of 3ds and animation techniques, although that was primarily in Flash. I edited video and audio back in high school and liked it as well.

Please consider this an open application. As you can see, I would be willing to work in almost any area and can back myself up in at least some of them. I would be able to contribute for about 20h a week.

Cheers!

PM sent for coding.

For landscaping we will soon need as many helping hands for cave interiors, even if it is just the caves' layouts (which all need to be done by hand now that we have our new tileset mostly ready). I suppose you can manage creating  basic layouts for caves using our tileset while keeping in mind the original Morrowind layout?

Hello once again!

Thanks for quick responses, I needed some time to sort things out to show what I was able to do so far so that you can better judge what tasks I may be good for.

I have completed all of the tutorials from http://www.creationkit.com/Category:Tutorials . This includes a complete design of Lokir's Tomb and related quest. I will link to my implementation with video (quest not included, I seem to have some problems with it, although I was pretty sure I did finish it back then).

When I was finished with those tutorials, I creating another dungeon just to cement these skills. It will obviously be more interesting to you since it is my original idea, however clunky it may be. I am including a lot of screenshots from both the game and CK.

@Cesare, I will reply to PM now :)

@Crusty, as you can hopefully see above, I understand at least to some degree most of the things required for interior level design, so I could definitely work on caves, as you mentioned, both modularly and free form.

I'll get you a task by the end of the week, stick around until then! (Just check in the forums every once in a while, see if you don't have any messages)
