Skyblivion

Submitted by lejonbrames228 on

Hey guys,

It's been a three years since the release of Skyblivion 0.1, which raises the question, when will we be able to download it again?  I, along with many others are dying to play this game and are very thankful for your work, but why was Skyblivion 0.1 taken down in the first place?  Is there any way those of us who have been waiting for years to get a little taste of the game now? Just the experience of exploring Skyblivion would be satisfying for me, as well as many others.

Thanks

Keep checking back every now and then, it was posted on the forum that a 0.3 release was on the horizon somewhere  for the public to enjoy. don't ask when you get to see it, or if there is a specific date for its release though, the answer hasn't changed in the last 3 years either.. When its done [External image]

0.1 was removed by the way due to the fact it was riddled with bugs and errors making it so unstable that the game crashed more then it played. if you wan't more specific reasons i would recommend browsing the Skyblivion forum a lot of questions as to if, why, what and when have already been asked there.

I have to agree with lejon, Its been far too long since a release. I just hope you guys are getting the help you need, as it seems everyone is caught up with skywind and its growing and impossible ambitions. Its just been years now and the community seems to be losing interest with Fallout 4 being out and Skyrim slowly drifting into the background as an old game. I just pray to the gods of gaming that these two projects don't end up as another example of "biting off more then you can chew."

Good luck to those who are trying to attempt this impossible feat, and I hope the result is more of a "Morroblivion" rather then a "Tamriel Rebuilt*."

*Tamriel Rebuilt was an attempt to add all the provinces of Tamriel to TES III Morrowind, but they settled for only adding the mainland of morrowind and abandoning the rest of the provinces. This was a project I loosely followed about ten or so years ago.

People still mod and play original Morrowind and it's official forum modding section is more active than the Fallout 4 one, so comments about "drifting away" and "old game" don't make sense. We are not a commercial project that caters for wider public to increase profit. We do it for fun. I'm pretty sure Tamriel Rebuilt has the same attitude.

Oh and by the way, Tamriel Rebuilt is not abandoned, they just released a new update with good progress.

Well thats some good news... But I was referring to the fact that they scrapped the idea of going to other provinces and instead just settled for the morrowind homeland. You can still find remnant bits and pieces of the other provinces, but its sadly gone for the most part. The development of it has gone on for over ten or so years now with nearly nothing to show for it. My worry is that Skywind and Skyblivion may share the same fate.

Probably because other provinces are being developed by different projects which are not abandoned either.

Join and help to avoid "the same fate".

Other provinces by Project Tamriel

The are friends of TR team. Skyrim: Home of the Nords and Province: Cyrodiil from PT is alive.

Losing interest becouse of Fallout 4?? Have you ever played with that game? I almost think that it has a better gameplay morrowind.. And i have hear around more gripes than praises about that game (and i really haven't any difficulty seeing why). So i'm quite sure that it won't happen what you fear. And plus, the only thing that could have slowed to death the projects could have been a sequel to Skyrim/tesV, but (if you can call it that) the tes online is a mmorpg, so i think bethesda has failed again.
