I cannot advance further in the imperial legion quest line because the game is insisting I'm "out of uniform" even though I am not. I have tried buying new imperial legion armor and talking to them again but that does not work (I am using the most recent version of Morroblivion).
Are there any console commands or mods that can be used to get past this issue?
It was working for awhile, but then it stopped working. The only mods I added since were some to change the weights of arrows and potions.
I had finished all the quest at Gnisis, and currently have the quest to retrieve centurion armor. I have tried talking to the quest giver at both Gnisis and at Ft Moonmoth.
My legion cuirass was not enchanted.
My first thought was actually that the robes over armor mod I was using somehow striped the legion armor of it "uniform" flag, however, no amount of striping and re-armoring, or even using a different cuirass resolves the issue.
Hmm... well I tried again this time buying the Imperial chain cuirass, and it worked fine. Maybe it only works with the chain cuirass you're given originally and not the Imperial steel cuirass I was wearing (given from quest), or the leather cuirass I first tried using instead?

Am I correct to understand that it worked before, but then stopped? Have you changed anything in your load order inbetween?
What quest are you currently doing for the legion? Which NPC are you trying to talk to?
Also, have you, by any chance, enchanted your legion cuirass?
