[3D][Modeler][CODING] Solo Unity game developer looking to switch into skyrim modding

Hello! I'm Joshua, nice to meet whomever. I sadly have very little experience in actual terms of modding skyrim, or any bethesda game/game in general really. I have been a solo unity developer mucking about for about two years now, my coding skills would probably be my strength, although switch from c# to papyrus, might take a little and I doubt my full proficiency could be shown early. I do have modeling skills too, probably my second strongest skillset, the provided links of my work, are kinda all over the place, no real style and just randomness. However I'm uhh.. like 75 percent sure that I can make some very awesome stuff given the time and quality concept art to work with, as opposed to winging it. My texturing skills would be my weakest I'd argue, I understand it, can get a kinda good uv layout, but my art usually ends up looking very hand painted and cartoony, not sure how I could change that, but always improving. Welp, thats all, hope I can help some.

It seems I've somehow made this thread twice, I'm not sure how to remove the old one either. My apologizes.

The 3D assets for this project is rather high quality. To be fair, perhaps a bit much for a community project like this. Unfortunately this also means that a fair amount of 3D experience is required. You need to practice some more before we can bring you into the fold :) Coding should be along shortly, Ces is fast at responding.

Fair enough, I'm not sure if it was my pride or what lol, but would you please look back again at my deviant art? Most those uploads were old, nor had a theme or time spent on them, I just spent about an hour making a sword and uploaded 3 new pictures of said sword, bearing in mind my texture skills are pretty bad, I think you'll see a fairy quality model in the second and third untextured pictures. If you still believe the quality is not on par with what you guys are doing, then I can accept that lol, just figured I'd give it a good go with my up to date skills, and a model related to the actual game (ie a sword);

No offense intended. The quality we're looking for is Skyrim level, or above. You just aren't quite there yet. Part of doing models for a project such as this is to be able to do the entire workflow(HP, LP, Baking, texturing), otherwise other people will need to do that part for you. Which could be doable if we had the resources.

No offense taken, I get it. I thought maybe as a huge moder collaboration type thing that maybe my incomplete modeling skillet(okayish base models, but no baking of high polys, nor quality textures) might've still helped out a bit. Could you please remove my post? I think I've gotten a little discouraged lol, and although I have more confidence in my scripting skills, at least in c# anyway, I think I'd be bored as heck if I just did that in the project, I was more exited about pumping out models and stuff, mixing and matching so I didnt get bored or burnt out. Anywho, I wish you all the best of luck.

Fair enough, I didn't mean to discourage you, but I understand :) Best of luck to you too.
