Hi everyone! My name is Jon, and I'm currently studying at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for Computer Science and Mathematics. I like to take on my own projects in my down time to learn more and just because I enjoy creating new things. I have extensive object-oriented programming experience and pick up new skills very quickly. I'm currently acquainting myself with Papyrus so that I will be comfortable with whatever is thrown my way. I also take up writing in my spare time, and creating new stories through writing is almost an extension to what I can create with code, and I enjoy blending the two! I look forward to hearing from the team and I look forward to contributing whatever I can to this fantastic project! My previous work can be found in my portfolio which is linked in my application. Thank you for your time!

Hello,

for coding dept:

Do you have experience with Creation Kit?

First check it out, it has a nice tutorial. Papyrus also has a tutorial for beginners. If you feel like you're used to these tools come back to me or MaxNoSense.

Hello!

I have worked with the Creation Kit before (for Skyrim and Oblivion), but that was a while ago and I'm going to take some time to brush up on things since I've been away from it. I'm going to take a few days to look over this and code/piece together a plugin, which I can link here afterwards when I contact you again. Does that sound good?

Yes, sounds good. The tutorial makes you create a simple plugin, so if you complete that (or something similar) then we can continue. Until then here's some more reading material.

Hello,

I did some reading and in terms of getting acquainted with the Creation Kit, I feel pretty comfortable after messing around in the menus and creating a player home mod (which I have the link for here). In terms of the Papyrus, I haven't written too much yet, but I read the entire manual you linked in your previous comment and the syntax is very basic and easy to read with my extensive programming background, so learning it should be quick and easy with practice.

I look forward to whatever you guys have up next in this process! In the meantime, I'm going to continue to script and create a more fully flushed out mod.
