Rock Textures in and around Balmora

Submitted by MuttSki on
The rocks in the area of Balmora are an odd reddish brown and the color seems fine but they stand out so much and don't appear to be affected by the lighting. Many links are broken and I can't find a way to fix this. I've tried everything short of a complete reinstall. Please help! I've already spent hours on this.

Can you post a screenshot? What graphic settings are you using and are you using any graphics enhancers?

I am I'm using Eloth's Visual 1.0 repack, and an lod generator, however I've tried replacing the mesh and texture files and the lod files with the original Morroblivion resource files. I'm using wrye mash and obmm. I've followed all instructions so far to my knowledge. I can provide a screenshot in approx 1-1.5hrs

All mods I'm using are within links posted on this site.

I appreciate you responding so quickly. I'm out and will be home shortly. It's my day off so I intend on doing anything I can to get this running. I'll provide anything you need to help. Thank you! I played Morrowind when it came out and have since never been so completely immersed into a game world. I've been waiting to play Morroblivion for ages. I've played with the mgso and updated and now I'm excited for this.

As you can read in the original thread you don't need the Overhaul anymore, it's included in the main file. In fact, it could cause problems becasue the internal file structure of Morroblivion has changed a lot in more recent versions. Which other mods are you using? I'd recommend reading the corresponding mod threads and not using mods that are made for very old Morroblivion versions and which haven't been updated in years.

If you want to be save you should probably remove the overhaul and other mods for now and test each mod to see how and if it works. Maybe even do a fresh install if uninstalling the mods isn't a viable option

Is there an updated list of mods? Or a new link for downloads? Many of the originals are dead.

The only others I'm using are ENB but I had this issue both before and after installing it. I'vr since deleted enb and it still shows odd rock textures. I'll try a fresh install and let you know if I keep having ossues. Other than that the mod's textures are very small or blurry. Where can I find higher res building or ground textures for the Vvardenfell worldspace?

I think the problem may have been the Eloth install. I'll test it now I just got home.

Do I need LOD gen 3.1.1-15781? Or VWD?

I would also like to use OOO. Should this be installed before or after Morroblivion?

I solved the problem by completely reinstalling the game, and by not using LOD program, but now I have a new problem with a very strange glow on people and things like rugs in interior cells.
