It seems to happen every time I click the item to equip it.

Also worth noting, when you take if out of you inventory, it just stays in the same spot in the air and can't be moved. Don't know if that's relevent or not.

Had the same crash with the Madstone of the Ahemmusa. Updated issue title.

Not only those, the heart artifacts carried by ash vampires cannot be worn either, they too cause a CTD...

Ok here's what I done about this,
Madstone of the Ahemmusa no longer should crash the game when worn, also drops to the ground. Amulet has no backside, so will always fall down with front side up.
Teeth of the Urshilaku no longer should crash the game when worn, also drops properly to the ground.
Thong of Zainab no longer should crash the game when worn, also drops to the ground. Amulet has no backside, so will always fall down with front side up.
Amulet of Usheeja no longer should crash the game when worn, also drops to the ground. Amulet has no backside, so will always fall down with front side up.
Amulet of Heartfire no longer should crash the game when worn, also drops properly to the ground.
Amulet of Heartheal no longer should crash the game when worn, also drops properly to the ground.
Amulet of Heartthrum no longer should crash the game when worn, also drops properly to the ground.
Amulet of Heartrime no longer should crash the game when worn, also drops to the ground. Amulet has no backside, so will always fall down with front side up.
Blood Ring now drops to the ground. Ring has no backside, so will always fall down with front side up.
Heart Ring now drops to the ground. Ring has no backside, so will always fall down with front side up.
That's about it I guess,

Can someone confirm whether or not this has been fixed ... if not I can have a go at it.
#9
I had this problem and was provided a fix. They work for me know. Let me search around and see if I can find it....

This file fixed it for me. I think I got it somwhere on this site, possibly from Helpful Person. I had made a similar thread to this and was answered... I'll try to find that post so I can give credit where do.
I can't seem to find it. Either the thread was deleted or I'm just not being thorough enough. Anyhow, it wasn't me that made this fix.

Done!
;)
David got back to me and said "The fix was by Opal-Eyed-Fan, and was included in the Additional Support Files 2 a couple of versions ago."
Cheers!

Decided to bump this up to critical, since a crash-to-desktop is a pretty big deal IMO.
