Sixth House by Endrek

Looking through the lists of mobs people have posted, I don't see this one. (sorry if i missed it somewhere) Sixth House by Endrek http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=mods.det... Quote:

During the course of the game, the Sleepers of the Sixth House invite you to travel to Red Mountain and pledge an oath of service to Dagoth Ur. However, anyone who has travelled there knows that Mr. Ur will simply attack you upon your arrival. I was intrigued by the powerful and evil nature of the Sixth House, and the unique structure and artifacts associated with it. It seemed a pity not to be able to choose the darker path and make the world a very different place than you were ordained to as the Nerevarine. Well, this mod is designed to remedy that. You will now have the opportunity to join the Sixth House and perform tasks to rise through its ranks. You'll gain special powers along the way and enjoy some interesting quests and twists. Here are a few of the key features: Join the malevolent Sixth House and serve your Lord Dagoth Ur Start as a lowly Sleeper and rise through the ranks to become Dagoth Ur's dark priest, general of the Sixth House army, and even a Dagoth! Command your own personal Dreamer servants as a high-ranking member of the Sixth House, and eventually control all but the most powerful Sixth House denizens Take on epic quests to thwart Caius Cosades, topple the Imperial fortress of Ebonheart, and even steal Wraithguard from Lord Vivec himself Talk to a Sleeper in Balmora or search the road between Balmora and Caldera to start your hellish journey. IMPORTANT: If you have already progressed through the main quest to the point where you are seeking the corprus cure, you will not be able to join the Sixth House with that character."
Without doubt my favorite morrowind mod.. I'd love to see it ported into morroblivion one day (assuming the author allowed).. its such a nice alternative story arc and so fitting with the lore. Enjoy

That sounds like a great mod

That sounds like a great mod - you should port it! :)

Seriously though, there are a ton of great mods for Morrowind, but first there are the more important, but probably less exciting, tasks related to fully porting the complete original game and expansions.

If anyone wants to help out, you can teach yourself the construction set in a weekend, or maybe even a day depending on your level of computer skills - "it's totally not hard" - and once you do that, you can help out in any way that you want, including porting old morrowind mods!

How do you port mods from Morrowind to Morroblivion? That is something that I can't find out on the CS wiki.

Importing mods

Whell there is a way convertin it with the esp converter. But then I think no mod.esp can be converted seperatly so you will have to cenvert it with the morrowind_ob.esm. But then you will need to find a way to seporate it from the morrowind_ob.esm. Or (as sugested :P) you could delete all others and leve only it in the esm and than convert it to a esp.

I have looked at the esp converter and you can easily separate the esp from morrowind_ob.esm because the ini has an option for that. All I need to do then is remove morrowind_ob.esm as a master and then I'll be done.

The converter is almost done.

The converter is done and now all I have to do is remove Morrowind_ob.esm as a master from the esp and I'll upload it here. Sadly I have a small problem, even though the converter finished fine the converter said that in the scripts there were unknown commands so some of the scripts probably won't work.

I have another problem

The converter renamed the esp to Sixth House.esp_ob and the file size is 0 bytes compared to the original size which was 378kb.

Quests and Scripts probably

Quests and Scripts probably make the backbone of a mod like this and so the Esp converter is powerless to do anything useful about it {it will copy what it can but everything will need to be heavily edited by hand before Oblivion can use it}.

Because it was empty ... the

Because it was empty ... the Espconverter merges any and every mods into Morrowind_ob.esm ... it does not attempt to seperate MW mods into an esp apart from creating an empty file with that name.

Remember that when you run the conversion for yourself you also get  Tribunal_ob.esm and Bloodmoon_ob.esm ... eventhough both the expansions are fully included in Morrowind_ob.esm alone.

That makes sense. I was guessing that might be what happened. So how do I seperate the mod from Morroblivion? I searched Morrowind_ob.esm in tes4edit and I couldn't find any records from the sixth house.esp in there.

Look up sixth house.esp in

Look up sixth house.esp in the Morrowind Construction Set to find names of scripts, items, quests etc. that are included in the mod.

Then open up your converted morrowind_ob.esm in TES4edit and look for those names ... in general they are prefixed by a 0 and any spaces get replaced by U and commas get replaced by V.

Though there is no guarantee that they will have made it through ... as I told you in the PM ... mod convertion has rarely ever been tested.
