Yellow blocks everywhere

Submitted by rafikki on

Let me preface this by saying that I know the common reaction (from reading some of the other posts) is to say that I must not have installed one of the mods, but as far as I can tell, I have. Here is a screenshot of what I see in the starting area, and it continues out in to other zones.

I started with a fresh install of both Morrowind and Oblivion. I installed the unofficial patch, obse+ely's silent voice, vardenfall imports parts 1, 2, 3, then patch 1 and 2, morrowind_ob complete install parts 1, 2 and 3, the two additional support files, eloth's misc items and ingredients (yes I noticed in the install file that lacking this is a source of yellow diamonds, and yes I have it installed), henshu's lute music, and then ran the exe installer. The load order is correct.

After doing all of this and having the yellow boxes everywhere, I uninstalled oblivion, deleted the folder and did it all again with identical results.

Any suggestions of what to try to fix this?

Same issue.

A few things were missing in the boat, no biggie I'l just go inside. All of the light sources, candles, lanterns and such are missing, everything is lit properly, the texture is just not there. I have the katest visual overhaul instaklled is there a specfic file for lighting?

What are you using to install - Bash, OBMM, or manual copying?

If you are using Bash make sure to check the "Missing" tab under the "Installers" tab.  You shouldn't have any missing files.  If you do, then Bash had a problem copying the files to your oblivion directory.  This happened to me once.  I had to close Bash, and move my Morroblivion files from:

c:\games\oblivion modes\bash installers\morroblivion\data\

to

c:\games\oblivion modes\bash installers\morroblivion\

There are new versions of quite a few meshes in the Additional files 2. If visual overhaul also replaces these meshes with an older version, problems might arise.

I just installed everything fresh this morning, and I believe that I applied the visual overhaul in an attempt to fix the missing meshes. Can I just copy the files from Additional support files 2 into the data folder in an attempt to dix it?

You can copy files from Additional Support files into your Morroblivion installment if you know what your doing, sure.

But thermador gave some good advice there, have you tried it?

Yes, there is nothing in the Missing tab for Morroblivion or Vvardenfell Imports.

Please forgive the lateness of my reply.

I am having the same issue as well. There appear to be alot of meshes missing, but according to wrye bash there is nothing wrong. If I open Bash, everything is green and installed and there is nothing in the missing and conflict tabs. I am running windows 7, I have done everything like the installer videos say to do and i am using wrye bash 291 along with all the other stuff the videos say to use. This mod is EPIC if anyone has any ideas on how to help it would really really be appriciated.

You folks know that everything needs to be installed in the proper sequence? I do it manually, so I dont know how bash mash handles things ..

Hm...this is cleary cuz of missing meshes. I would extract all the files again but copying the files manual. It seams that the wrye has a bug exporting files. Just do it manual.
