Cannot advance in Telvani House

There is a quest that requires you to do three tasks for Baladas Demnevanni in order to get Aryen to be your patron.

The first of the three tasks is to get three dwemer books for Baladas. I have gotten all these books and he does not seem to recongise that i have them. I have greyed out all the conversation topics and nothing seems to work. I think he may be missing the script but im not sure.

Ive tried a few different things now and nothing seems to work. Is anyone else looking into this?

I would say this is critical. The Telvanni faction is a major part of the game and if a bug is stopping you from advancing then it is critical.

I have a similar problem as well. Instead of not being able to do Baladas's quests, I cant seem to get Aryon to accept me as his mouth at all despite the fact that I'm ready for advancement. There isnt really a conversation topic about it at all.

I went ahead and tried the three book quest, and I was able to complete it. Though Aryon still won't acknowledge my existence. So at tyhe moment I'm stuck ready to advance to Mouth in House Telvanni. Is there any specific person I have to talk to to advance? Or something to do rather?

There was actually three quests that you need to do for baladas in order for him to join house telvanni, and thats the quest for aryon to become mouth. How did you get the three books quest to work? that is the one im having problems completing

I didnt really do anything special to get the three books quest. I talked to baladas, he told me what books to get, then I went and bought them.

Okay, apparently you have to do Aryons previous mouths quests before he will accept you as his mouth. I feel kinda derp now

I am having the same problem. I completed all the mouths quests and then I was ready for advancement. I go to ask for advancement and I am told that I need a Patron to be a mouth. I go to Aryon who says that I need to convince Baladas to join the council. I go to Baladas who says he needs three books. I go to Holamayan Monastery to get the books. I return to Baladas (with all three books) and nothing. I used every dialogue option. When I talk about "three Dwemer books" he simply describes them, not recognizing that they are all in my inventory. Does anyone who what I need to do?

With version 35 I was able to give Baladas the books to complete the quest. Then I get promoted to mouth and complete a few more quests. Now I am having another problem. When it comes time to get promoted to Wizard Aryon tells me I need a stronghold and someone to represent me in the council (a mouth). I do the quests to get my stronghold up through the first two stages. Then I go back to Aryon and he tells me I still need someone to represent me. There is no dialogue options to point me to Fast Eddie, he does not say anything. The option is not there. I go to Balmora and talk to Eddie and there is no dialogue options about him becoming my mouth. Am I doing something wrong or is this a glitch?

I remember having the same problem, so I just derped around for a bit. I think if you keep doing quests for him, eventually one of them will be to talk to Fast Eddie...

Yes, you are correct. When I completed Aryon's quests the quest to get my mouth and advance was there. I guess if there was a glitch it was the fact that the quest that tells when you are able to advance told me I could advance before the quest to get Fast Eddie to be my mouth was available. I am not sure if that was intended or not, even if it is a problem it is very minor, I could still complete the needed quests and advance. I am now Archmagister of house Telvanni!
