Corprus Stalkers question

Submitted by Lena Wolf on

I came across something odd, don't know if it's a bug or intentional. Generic Corprus Stalkers (0CorprusStalker) and Lame Corprus (0CorprusLame) creatures are friendly to all citizens of Morrowind - that is everyone except the player. That's because they are members of 0factMorrowind and have a disposition of 100 towards each other. None of the other ash creatures are members of that faction. Is that intentional?

This is extremely odd because if you have a companion who is a member of 0factMorrowind (i.e., any of the Morrowind characters), he will NOT fight Corprus Stalkers or Lame Corprus creatures with you.

A Bug for sure, with Dagger Galore right?

Yes, I'm using version 66.3 - didn't upgrade to the latest one because I read it required a new game.

I haven't played much of TES3, so in most cases Morroblivion is my first introduction to Morrowind. :) Which is why I don't know how it's supposed to be. :D

Continuing in the same vein, I wonder whether 0factMorrowind faction should really carry moddisposition 100 to itself, since every single NPC in Morrowind is a member of this faction. They all love each other! And they all gang up against the player - the Outlander. :P In particular, any Morrowind NPC that becomes your follower, will not only refuse to fight other citizens of Morrowind with you, but will in fact turn on you, regardless who those citizens are. It also means that all other faction reactions are rendered meaningless because this universal love overrides them all.

In my game, I removed this relation, so that members of 0factMorrowind don't have any special relationship to each other, and their dispositions are governed by the sum of all other reactions. I think it is better.

The unofficial patch reconciled starts to fix these issues! I'll release it soon
