Acronym Meaning

Submitted by Clint on
Ok, simple question: what the heck does "RELZ" mean?! I'm guessing it means "release," but if it does, where does the "z" come from? I mean I've seen WIP, Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Beta, RC (release candidate), but I've only seen "RELZ" appear on this site or related Elder scrolls mods. So yeah, what the heck does "RELZ" mean? Thanks, and sorry for the rant.

RELZ -  Released - A released mod. Usually used in the titles of forum topics to flag that the post is about a released mod. The trailing "Z" exists to increase the term to four letters (Bethsoft forum searches do not allow searches on three letter terms).

Does anyone visit the Bethsoft forums?

Lol, never! Have to say that I stay well away from all of the 'big' forums as much as possible... too many people just looking to troll and I don't have the time for all that nonsense... How you getting on with Morroblivion? It's going back a long ways but didn't you used to hang out on the BB forum too (many many moons ago)?

@HeWhoWatches Dang, I must have been half awake when I wrote that, sorry. Can I call you "Tux" or "LinuxMan" instead? ;) @Steph Nope, it's mainly Tesnexus, PlanetElderScrolls, UESP, for me. Is there anything good at those forums?

@LinuxMan I usually don't watch Family Guy, so yeah...I don't get it.

Seferoth, what did you do!?

Lol, and his name shall be Linux man!

As I also don't watch family guy, I'm guessing the man dressed as a hamburger is a play on a 'big mac'... which goes with Macdude?

It's funny that we are now giving people's alter-ego's nicknames.

Indeed, family guy was a red herring, it was a play on mcdonalds, etc. At least I amuse myself ;)

Ah yes, I remember studying red herring fallacies in English last fall. Ok, I think I get the MacDonald's relationship :)

Haha, you entertain yourself at the expense of educating us all. It's a good deal. ;)
