Zainab Neverine quest fails to start

After Ashkhan Kaushad tells you to bring him a Telvanni bride and to talk to the wise woman Sonummu Zabamat, there is no topic to start the conversation with Sonummu and advance the quest (Where she tells you to just pick up a slave for Ashkhan)

i had that problem too but i was actually able to work around it, go back to ursilaku camp and go talk to sul matul again, make sure to get all your path of the incarnate quest update, then it should work, at least it did for me, i guess it should still considered as a bug but at least there is a way around it through dialogs with sul matul

I am having the same problem as well, though the work around by talking to Sul-Matul didnt work for me, and all of his topics are greyed out.

There is nothing wrong with any of the Ashlander Neravarine Quests; they all work flawlessly. I just went through them all in-game. However, Morrowind is Very particular with how things are done. Things often need to be done in a certain way in a certain order. Go to the Wiki and check out the quest. If it doesn't start, or you are having trouble, then there is something you are not doing, somebody you are not talking to, or some topic not being selected.

This played fine for me as well(couple of versions ago even), you could try talking to the slaver directly, perhaps that'll trigger it, think she's in Tel Aruhn. Worst case scenario you can always have a look at the Construction set to find the proper quest stage and just console your way through.

Morrowind is very tied to the NPC's disposition toward you. MOST of the dialog is not accessible if the NPC has a very low disposition toward you.

My last journal entry is something along the lines of "Zainab Ashkhan guy told me to seek the counsel of his wise-woman in the matter, as she knows the workings of his mind"... so if there is another entry besides that one, what is it? Also I tried the disposition thing and she was at max when I talked to her initially. if it comes down to it, whats the quest stage console command? I'm pretty rubish with the Construction set

To get to the point where she told you where to go for the bride use:

setstage fbmwmq11z 25

If you just want to be the Zainab Nerevarine:

setstage fbmwmq11z 50 (maybe 60, only try that if 50 does'nt work.)
