This is a mod to bring a few CM partners to Morroblivion. It is currently a work in progress as I like to take time to think of stories for each one. You see it doesn't make sense why they would be randomly standing in the nearest inn when you get off the boat in Seyda neen. If I was smart I would take the time to learn how to give each one unique responses to question instead of the usual CM "of course" and "Here you go". Unfortunately I'm not smart and I wouldn't know where to begin.
If you want these partners, you will need the base mod. Get it here: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7819
Anyway, Here are the ones I have (mostly) done:
Ratatha: A female khajit slave in addamasartus. She is unique as she can be freed as all other slaves in morrowind, or taken as a partner. (However if the "Vaardenfell, and quickly." option from Thermador's Chargen and transport mod is used the player will not be able to free ANY slaves at all. I'm not sure why this happens.) NOTE: I am having a small problem making her freeable again so for now she is a normal companion.
Nira: A female redguard Thief hiding out in the seyda neen lighthouse. Judging by her history she most likely stole something from her employers at the thieves guild again. I wonder if it was one of Sottilde's code books...
Golgak Madakac: A male orc Berserker at the ald skar inn in ald'ruhn. As every orc berserker worth his weight in the blood of his enemies, He's there to get drunk.
Minara sizzle fingers: A female High-elf mage in the Caldera mages guild. She is bored with the dull life of a mining town mage and seeks an escort to one of the more exciting mages guilds.
Grojja the ale-gorged: A male khajiit battlemage in The caldera mining companies slave shack one. After getting roaring drunk, he decided to visit Kiseena (His current infatuation) there. Unfortunately when he became sober and tried to leave the guards mistook him for a wayward slave and are keeping him until he is "claimed". If only he could get someone to claim him as their runaway slave or smuggle him out.....
Roland of the blood curse: A male Nord conjurer in the Ebonheart Imperial Chapels. It is the third (and probably last) time that he has been commanded to pray there, He has been told that if he doesn't "Repent once and for all for his use of the unholy art of conjuring the dead." He will be "Cleansed in holy flames." Needless to say he's willing to saddle up with the nearest traveller and ride away from imperial settlements for good.
Hates-her-tail: A female argonian warrior in meldors armory in balmora. She has been trying for days to convince the smith to craft her armor that will "better compliment my beauty and conceal my hideous excuse for a tail" She was quite aptly named.
Madrona Has'vur: A female Dark elf acrobat in Deseles house of earthly delights. She works as a private dancer in the upper room (the locked one.) She hates her job as the customers can get grabby (luckily she defends herself exceedingly well) and wishes for adventure. Oh, is that the key to her room sitting ever so forgotten on that table? I think so.
Hadrak and Kadrana Mreath: Twin brother and sister ashlanders in Urshilaku camp. Hadrak is a healer and Kadrana is a scout. Kadrana has been itching to see new sights in vaardenfell and has finally convinced Hadrak to come along on the condition that they find an escort who knows the lands.
Nerodo of the quick-thrown-dagger: A male argonian Assasin for hire wandering around in Gnisis. His story is probably not as shrouded in mystery as he would have you believe. Chances are he is simply an escaped slave trying to make some good coin.
Hides-her-skooma-well: A female argonian agent in the Ebonheart Argonian mission. No one even knows her real name and her nickname was given based on the fact that she seems to be on a permanent high. No one ever has found her skooma....
I'm going to make twenty of these partners (maybe more if people enjoy them) and I would appreciate suggestions as it always makes a mod nicer with more than one persons creativity as a part of it.
I APOLOGIZE BUT I WILL NOT BE WORKING ON THIS PROJECT ANYMORE, HOWEVER IF YOU WISH YOU CAN USE THE INCOMPLETE .ESP HERE: http://www.mediafire.com/?7c5nw6ciymwkwow IT WILL NOT BREAK YOUR GAME SIMPLY BECAUSE IT IS INCOMPLETE. ANYONE WHO WISHES MAY CONTINUE MY WORK.

I use the CM partner Valtierro by NellSpeed. I have been playing with him through Morroblivion and have not found any incompatabilities other than some minor ones. Some of these are instead of his usual coded dialogue, he will greet me with the usual Morrowind dialogue, calling me an outlander and asking if theres anything I need for example. Also i'm not sure if his usual coded, planned progression through the relationship arc that is supposed to happen is happening because it may need to be triggered by Cyrodillian events, but this doesn't bother me. I can just go back to Cyrodill for that.
He helps me fight the bad guys, get through quests and carrying my stuff.. and basically has been acting as a basic CM partner through Morroblivion.
The test partners I created are completely new NPCs, I made sure to add the necessary factions for the areas I placed them so that they would not get into trouble. As for the load order issue with the ESMs I am not sure why it does this to me but it does, I tried a number of load order patterns and the only one that works is Morrowind_ob.ESM, Oblivion.ESM, CM partners.ESM. I can't find any problems caused by this load order if there are any. I'm am trying my best to keep from touching anything that could break quests or AI. I did however find that when I turn on my test CM partners esp every door I enter in vaardenfell loads slower than normal and then leaves me on a black screen for thirty seconds before clearing and letting me proceed. Could this be a side effect of having a "dirty" mod?
It appears I made a rather foolish mistake. Any load order works as long as Morrowind_ob.ESM is right after Oblivion.ESM. My apologies.
After adding another test partner this morning that issue seems to have been taken care of (Not sure how.), however I have found a new one, Adding the partners to 0factmorrowind faction has caused them to stop attacking humanoid enemies (I have only tested with the bandits in Addamassartus outside Seyda neen.) they seem to take to killing mudcrabs and slaughterfish fine though. I may be able to find a solution to this issue myself but I would appreciate suggestions.
Ah, I was under the impression that it was required for all Vaardenfell NPCs. Would it cause anything to go wrong if I took them out of the faction?
EDIT: Nevermind, I found out. They work beautifully now. I thought it might have caused prblems creating a CM partner who could be freed like a slave if you so chose, but it works quite well. I created a Khajit slave in addamasartus named Ratatha and she can be freed or taken as a partner and later freed at your convenience. Unfortunately she has a tendency to appear outside the door to the pen.
What I would have given to do that to my siblings..... Anyway now that their working fine I have four done and was wondering if anybody had any requests for anything specific before I fill up the twenty partner limit I set for this one?
Six done and the only glitch I see seems to come from the rings provided by the base mod, If the "partners ring" is worn while using the silt strider you won't be able to use the silt strider to travel anywhere but Vivec ever again.
This would be possible. I could make her approach with the apropriate scripts for the partners enabled but you would still have to up her disposition yourself as according to the rules of the mod. As it is i'm a little hesitant to play with morroblivion scripts and ai seeing as how they are more fragile than base oblivion scripts and ai but I will give it a shot. Worst case scenario means I just have to drag and drop my backup and try again.
I believe that I overcomplicate things sometimes, thanks.
I think I may try an even simpler solution first. If it fails I will try yours. Testing now.
EDIT: Wait a minute. Tell me, Is she directly part of ANY quest?
MMk thanks. I wasn't sure. I spend more time messing with settings and mods than actually playing.
Heh. Careful, I may be tempted to cause Minara to "accidentally" bomb caldera.
I love the new update, but it brings bad news. This project will have to be delayed until you completely stop updating Morroblivion. It seems that it is not version to version compatible. Usually Cms carry over versions beautifully. It baffles me because something as simple as a CM partners incompatability should not cause the silt strider service to become inactive and balmora to turn sideways, Yet behold, With the mod turned off the world is perfect. I checked everything in the CS and I didn't make any stupid mistakes, The load order is fine too............ Gah...................
Wait a sec, if slave freeing script not works with the transport mod of Thermador, you must tell him that.
I don't think I touched any NPCs accept my new ones.............. I had made a new plugin to experiment with Ranis so that couldn't be it. Anyway, How would you like me to send you the plugin?
Yeah thats the first thing I tried. I'll get it uploaded in a minute.
Thanks David for helping me out. I will start adding things again tommorow.
Remind me what an ashlander is? Sorry, like I said I spend more time playing with settings and mods than truely playing.
Can you make a healer?
Thanks david.
And yes. I can quite easily make a healer. You may have to tell it to heal you though.
Done. One is a scout and one is a healer. Although I won't play with scripting until I finish going back over tutorials. I don't want one getting it in their head to chase down and mug Vivec for some reason.
Nine more to go. Any suggestions?
An adoring fan of Nerevarine!
I prefer to include them in seperate ESPs so that any mistakes doin't ruin either project.
I apologize, but unfortunately I will need to stop this project. You see, I am only part owner of my computer and the other owner believes that i'm playing with some kind of unstable risky program that will break our computer. Since he paid quite a bit more for this computer than I did I can understand his concern and I have agreed (Ater failing numerous times of trying to convince him that the construction set is just an iffy tool like Word or photoshop.) to stop modding at least until I have my own computer. Once again I apologize, I know this sounds stupid but some of you probably know what this is like. If you want I will upload the unfinished .ESP with the twelve partners already on it so that someone could pick up this project or use it in an unfinished state.
I think you should upload it. I myself is not experienced enough to continue, but someone melse may take it a step forward.
and what is the point of buying an expensive computer if you are not going to use for playing? :P
He makes no sense. I wonder sometimes. But anyway, I will upload and post the link here in a second.
Hello! Im new in the forum, and I played morroblivion for a while. I loved the idea of have partners, but I like to have more Dark Elf ones. Can someone, please, make two of three dark elf partners and put em in random citys like balmora or so? Cause Im not very masterful using the construction set. Im using the CM partners mod for morroblivion posted here. If someone can help me with this, I will be grateful. Thank you :)
I will try then! Thank you for the answer. By the way... is ther a tutorial for someone like me who never tried to edyt anything? I mean a CM partners tutorial. Thank you again =)
Thank you, again and sorry for my dumb questions hehe.
Hey, I know the original creator of this mod isn't supporting it anymore, but quick question. I installed this in order to play around with having partners and found three of them. They joined me and began following me. We could share equipment, things were going swell, etc. Then, when it came time to go into combat, they simply continued to follow me, no matter which combat option commands I gave them. I was perplexed. Nevertheless, I continued with them backtracking a bit from Balmora to Seyda Neen. As soon as we entered Seyda Neen (and I had no bounty/no beef with the law) they immediately began attacking the Imperial guards there... It was quite strange. I enjoyed watching them fight each other for a bit, but needless to say this isn't sustainable, lol.
So, any ideas what might be causing this/what I could do in order to stop it and get them to behave properly? I'd really (especially after that latest debacle attempting to retrieve the Shadow Shield for the third trial initiation) enjoy a partner to tag along.
Any advice/suggestions would be more than appreciated!
I din't have much chance to finish what I started with these partner, so you should expect some bugs. This is here in case someone would like to finish it, It isn't meant to be playable yet.
