As a matter of personal involvement; I did offer several key points to Tyveras on how he/she can improve his/her sculpt, but that was a day and a half ago. Hopefully he/she's taken it to heart and that's the reason for the lack of response.
I was just saying that, should the original still fail to match or succeed the quality of Kura's work, it shouldn't be used simply because it was first. We owe it to the project, team, fans, and original game to offer the best quality available. And at the moment, that is Kura's version.
And again, I highly doubt Kura intentionally did anything that would be considered rude.
@Corr- Asset quality isn't just a sculpt. The sculpt is only to make textures. It doesn't even make it in the game. The quality you will see when you play the mod will be the low poly model, and the texture UV'd on top of it, of which this sculpt doesn't show either. It has a possibility to be good, but possibility only gets you so far. And it IS a matter of who came first. The other Azura statue has been in active threads for over a week. If we just re do each other's work over and over we might as well quite now, because we will never finish.
@Kura- Considering the Azura statue is the only one sitting yoga style in the whole game, I stand by my assumption. Everyone made that assumption. Please try to be more of a team player.
You do realize what Kura created isn't finished, right? Looking at his previous work its pretty obvious that the end result would be game-worthy.
Yes, and in over a week I have seen less promise there than I have here in a single day. Harsh, perhaps, but its my opinion as an artist.
I never said people should freely redo each other's work; because it'd be ridiculous, tedious, and we'd never get anywhere. I merely said that, because there does exist an alternative, regardless of whether or not it should exist, it should be taken into consideration due to its quality; because I feel that's what is more important.
Its unfortunate that it conflicts with something another person made, but its an isolated incident and ultimately should be shelved, not dismissed, depending on how the other sculpt delivers.
CORR, I was working close with Tyveras on the Azura sculpts, doing repaints of his models and giving him detailed feedback, he said he'll do anything to make it right. Making another model without first talking about it with other devs just wasted at least 4 hours of my precious time. I agree Kura's quality is high in that sculpt, but he shouldn't have been making it behind people's backs. Also it's not like he didn't know. Ravanna told him at least two times to NOT model Azura, and what he made looks exactly like Jors' concept of her. Tyveras perhaps didn't have much luck with that model yet, but he's a valuable asset to the team and we can't afford to "hurt his feelings" too much, especially since he was unfortunately also caught in the middle of Dagoth props earlier. Even if we were to go with Kura's sculpt this could've been handled WAY more smoothly, and that is the main issue here. This project is not about the statue of azura, but a bout a whole game, and it will never see the light of day without transparency and cooperation.

Well guess what, we've already considered using Kura's work, as it would be a shame to have it wasted. What we need is less opinion and more productivity, because with all those people nitpicking on every detail the project is slowly derailing and losing pace, and having people fighting over model assignments is just ridiculous.
A sculpt is only a very small part of making an asset for a game. Sculpting is a new process in making game models. I've made a ton of assets for games before sculpting existed.
When I see Kura's UV mapped low poly and finished textures, I will say that it's good. Judging quality by the sculpt is useless. A sculpt can't go in game, so it's a visual novelty at best. If he makes something that will work in the game engine, then we can have a variant. Otherwise, it's a pretty picture. That's all.
I'm in awe of all the work on this thread. So much quality stuff! I do have a fairly general suggestion that echos a previous comments:

Model quality is good.
This concept of sofa looks like strange unique exemplar - 1 combination. That's not super good for game - will be look weird when many instances of this sofa looks identical, even if 95% of humans have no good memory.
---
I only can recommend to split model to "lamps" and "bench". With or without other models will be more combinations.
It may be asking much, but due to the organic nature of all the furniture and architectural assets, it would be good if these are made modular so that additional pieces can be rotated, added, or removed to embellish and add variety to commonly used models such as chairs tables lights. That way the Telvanni areas can have very unique assets with a lot of character without individual pieces being overly identifiable. A basic set for customizing interior assets would be very useful. Doing this on an individual basis or creating a basic kit of branches, weird lights, roots etc for occasional use in smaller details like an additional funky armrest could make a big difference to keeping things organic looking.

To be honest we can debate all we want, however its not up to us who models what.
This can be resolved by Ravanna or eloth, for now we should just leave the matter.

1) And I do not where it is not written Azura, why did you get it Azura?
2)I loved the sketch and really wanted to model the statue for himself.
3)Enough srach breed.
Kurasaki you didnt tell what your statue was, so we assumed that it was azura because its very similar to this one(stuatue of azura made by Tyveras):

step 2
step 2.5

почему бы просто не дать Tyveras несколько советов, если вы думаете, что знаете, как вы можете помочь ему, Курасаки?
(why not just give Tyveras few tips if you think you know how you can help him, Kurasaki?)
This is a statue of the goddess Brug.

Holy Moly looks awesome, only thing i'd say is give the lower part some more detail or movement its very static on the toga.
