Thank you yazza2014 for your incredible work! Perhaps a development video could be made to increase awareness, contributors have uploaded footage to youtube already, perhaps some of that could be edited together? Just a suggestion :)
Yes I plan to make a short demo video when all outfits for NPCs will be ready with the current converted armors, just takes some time. Real life job doesn't help either.
No, that wouldn’t work. The mapping from Oblivion values to Skyrim values is not linear, so you can’t just say: If Exhibit A has got a Oblivion value that is x times the Oblivion value of Exhibit B, then the Skyrim value of A is also x times the one of B.
You rather have to interpolate the values (And you have to do an interpolation for heavy and light armor, for those values changed non-linear too, as well as for every Armour part). Else you would mix up Oblivion’s ordering. I’ve done that just now, and here you can see a big problem when you just give the Oblivion Armours that already exist in Skyrim the Skyrim values.
Oblivon has got three light Armours between Leather and Elven, with Elven being the second best light Armour. Skyrim one the other hand has no light Armours between Leather and Elven, but puts them between Elven and Glass. So when orientating on the Skyrim values, Leather, Chainmail, Mithril and Elven will only be very little steps, while Glass will be a huge one. So it would be advisable to drastically increase the armour rating of Elven armour.
If you want so, I can do you a list with Interpolation values for all Oblivion Armour.
It is too early to discuss this. Setting values in CK requires a single person and 1-2 hours, while everything else in this project requires joint effort of several people and months.

Well, when I finish my armour esp file, do you want to edit the values? You seem to have a better idea than I do about balancing armour stats.
My main effort is getting the actual 3D models converted
Amber armour

Dark Seducer armour
Golden Saint Armour
Relics of the Crusader armour set
Knight of Order armour set
Arena heavy Blue
Arena heavy Yellow
Arena Light Blue
Arena Light Yellow
Arena Champion
Miscellaneous Armours
Black Water Cuirass
Bracers
Arena Champion heavy
Arena Champion Light
clavicus vile Helmet
Cowl of the Grey Fox Helmet
Grummite Shield
Spell Breaker Shield
Knight of Thorn Shield
Savior's hide
Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw
Ayleid Crown of Nenalata

I'm going to finish the Arena armour tonight, so you should see some screenshots of 3DS MAX :)
I don't think I've missed any sets, tell me if I have, thanks.
Arena Light armour in 3DS MAX, most challenging armour to convert so far
In this armour, you can see the neck/throat. I wonder how this will turn out in-game? Because the vanilla head and body don't line up. Would they be attached together in-game?
Great work yazza, don't listen to people (registered several days ago) giving advices on what and how to do. Not saying that particular advice is bad, or person is wrong or something like that. Advices in general don't help, only slow down or kill projects from my experience. I always prefer to have something working first, and do polishing later, than not having anything at all trying to achieve some ideal.
Hey yazza i love your work man keep it up and have you done civilian clothes yet? I can do the civilian clothes if you want but may take some time because i am new to modding.
Would be very convenient if you could convert clothes while I convert armour. Send me some of your work and I'll take a look at it. If you don't know what you're doing, or if you get stuck, let me know.
Do you know how to use the creation kit and assign slots?
I'm still waiting for Zilav to make an automated esp file for clothes, which would save us time from entering all those items manually.
This probably isn't all that helpful, and won't make things that much quicker but I can help with all the Creation Kit stuff if given the nif files. I'd help with the 3D part, but I feel I lack the skill required to do so.

I was pretty sure that Zilav could automate it? This is just an esp for clothes that I want.
I have my nif files in different paths, so maybe that won't work....
I have it set up like
Cuirass_0
Cuirass_1
1stpersoncuirass_0
1stpersoncuirass_1
I might as well do it myself, as I have to put it in the creation kit to test in-game anyway.
On an unrelated note
Here is a screen cap of 3DS MAX showing the Dark Seducer male Armour
Hey you're doing a good job with remaking the armours into the Skyrim engine. Just some input though. Maybe instead of completely duplicating the armours from Oblivion (They look exactly the same, which isn't necessarily bad), you could try "upgrading/changing" them (like Skywind has done), using the original armours on Oblivion as a base. Just a suggestion. Nice work :D
My armours are just a port, and an optional addon for Skyblivion when released. I'm not a 3d modeller, like some people on the Skywind team.
So to clarify, my armours are ports, they will be used as place holders for replacements (A new model, slightly different, like you said) and after that, it will become an optional mod for people that want completely original armours. So there will eventually be new armours based on the current ones.
I know I said that I'll post the Golden Saint Armour today, but I've been doing something else. I've been writing a tutorial on converting armour (Or clothes) from Oblivion to Skyrim.
So far I've written 2,000 words and done 40 pages. Maybe my tutorial will encourage people to convert armour or clothes? Who knows.
Not sure that it'll help right now with clothes, not enough people around capable to help at the moment unfortunately. But it'll definitely help in the long run when converting Oblivion mods with new armors.
Added Blades armour Screen Cap
Having a bug with Iron armour (Skyrim body in general)
The body comes up with a grey skin tone
So I had the wrong BSLighting shader flag, which was set to environment instead of skin
So I fixed that, but now the arms come up as black.
Unfortunately I can't help with this, modeling is out of my league.
I posted this issue on another forum, the solution is
"In the NiTriShapeData, change No. of UV sets to 1, Has Normals to No, and Has Vertex Colors to Yes"
I will have iron Armour done tonight, been stuck on this issue all day.
Good news is that the skin colour now changes appropriately with race.
EDIT: Updated OP, added Iron Armour
Took a break from converting armours, will get back to converting tomorrow.
Had some stuff in real life to sort out.
Thank you yazza2014 for your incredible work! Perhaps a development video could be made to increase awareness, contributors have uploaded footage to youtube already, perhaps some of that could be edited together? Just a suggestion :)

looks good

Another 3DS MAX update
Orcish Armour
I've decided to convert all other male armour sets before I put them in-game. But I will post 3DS MAX screenshots to keep everyone updated.
I think there's another 7 sets of armour left.
Looking nice as usual, thanks!
Well, I can do that if you like.
By the way, great work.

Great! When I finish the ESP file, I'll send you a PM. That can be your contribution to Skyblivion.
@Zilav
Could you make an esp file with item entries for shields, clothes and other miscellaneous armour/clothes? would save me a lot of time.

Yes correct the head and body models do not fit in 3DsMax, but they magically fit in game without any issues. I have no idea why this is.
Once I finish the Arena armour (Only Arena Champion armour is left), I'll put them in-game, along with Orcish, shrouded armour, Elven and Fur armour.
Then I'll do the DLC armour and put them in-game, and after that it's the Miscellaneous Armours.
Updated OP, added Elven, Orcish, Fur, Shrouded armour and Heavy Rainment of Valor
I'm having Glitches with Arena Armour, going to iron out the bugs before I post pictures of those
Thanks for all your work. I'll make you a plugin with armors and armor addons, but I've got cold recently, so it'll be delayed by several days.
Updated OP
Added the Following armour
*Arena Raiment of Valor (Light)
*Arena Raiment Light (Blue Team)
*Arena Raiment Heavy (Blue team)
*Arena Raiment Light (Yellow Team)
*Arena Raiment Heavy (Yellow Team)
Updated OP
Added the Following Armour
*Madness Armour set
*Count Cirion's helmet
its look nice, but can try to make it a little bigger that's gonna make it to look better in skyrim
can you tell me how you do that ?

I'm not sure what you mean? The armours are scaled correctly.
Unless you're talking about the picture I posted, not showing the full body?

Added Amber Armour, also added a closeup of the cubemap on the Amber armour. I think it goes well with it, adds a mild shine.
Updated OP
Added Knight of Order Armour set
Indeed, it looks better with cubemap.
Updated OP
Added Crusader Armour and Knights of the Nine Cuirass
Knights of the Nine Cuirass should have chainmail boots, helm and gauntlets in the picture, but I think the current picture is good enough.
That's it! Knights of the Nine DLC will be the first mod to convert for Skyblivion
