Skyblivion has some problems they can be easily fixed but I believe I should tell you my feelings on just importing models which is kinder unbelievable considering what the Skywind team has accomplished.
The reason why I'm seeing this as such a big deal is because I think that's what went wrong wit Morrowblivion, as far has I know you are not allowed to port models from past games without Bethesda's permission and that usually depends on what models you want, I have been looking through the fourms and I've allot of let's just import this which would be a huge let down after something as big as Skywind.
What I'm trying to say is that with the team importing models from Oblivion that causes copyright issues and that's why I am mentioning this because I want to see both these mods, lift of without a hitch. If you want Oblivion on the Skyrim Engine you will have to do the same thing that the Skywind team has, new models, animations, sounds, music, so basically you will have to start from scratch.
Just Saying.

The thing is with the Skywind
The thing is with the Skywind team is that the models in Morrowind are far too low-poly for them to look acceptable in a modern game engine, so they have to be remake everything. Oblivion is a far newer game and many of the models contained in it will work perfectly well in Skyrim and Skyblivion was never meant to be as big of a project as Skywind. As well as modeling takes a lot of time on the side of the modeler and a lot of coordination to work out who is doing what and what needs to be done when. So while, yes, it might be disappointing, from a logistical standpoint, it just makes sense. One final thing I'll add is that Morroblivion is still up for download even thought it has the same issue.
