I've gone to the effort to put together a few resources for you. I own a copy of Taschens' "The World of Ornament" and i have access to a few thousand hi-resolution scans of patterns.
Because these images are royalty free for unrestricted use, i've gone through and provided you with a few that i though might help. I'll update and add more as i go:

Hope you guys make use of them. Message me with your progress and post images up for critique. Also remember that the image alone isn't the final product, you have the whole page to design. This includes any text, borders and ornamentation that comes along with it.

I've been frustrated since I haven't been able to find a way to help with Skywind, but this is right up my alley. It's late where I live but I'll get cracking on these sketches tomorrow! (I know, I know, most people volunteer and then never come back)
@Ellagne Great! I'm impatient to see your sketches. Also, and I don't really know what I'm talking about but there should probably be some transparency in the pics so that they can match on any paper texture..

Keep in mind that these are old books, and perhaps you can try and make the page color and ink look a little warn and faded out.

@3AMt: I really like those Dwemer sphere sketches. Personally, I prefer the first one, probably because it's closer to the original.
Also, do we need to remake the Vivec/Almsivi banners and the portraits of the saints?
I just made this and I think it would work wonderfully in 36 Lessons of Vivec. I recreated a concept art of vivec fighting one of the creatures from that book.

But seriously, the Spider Daedra one would go good in Darkest Darkness because it discusses varieties of Daedra. The Shrek one is just a joke. Maybe it can be in a book in Skyblivion about OGRES.

What I posted are vanilla morrowind assets that we need to recreate. So I need artists to draw something similar so that we can add them to the books. Similar meaning that we can 1/ make them higher resolution 2/ take artistic liberties
Finally, as some of you started posting, if people are interested to illustrate more books, you can always draw something related to one of morrowind books.
