Hello again, Im doing a lot of progress with MOTF but since Im working on this alone and I dont have a lot of free time... help is needed.


IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

We need to avoid confusion ...so now it's decided, if you want to help you only need to do one simple thing:

SEND A PM WITH YOUR MSN, YAHOO, ETC...

Im glad to see so many people willing to help with the proyect, thanks to each of you!

THE GOAL:

Is simple, this is the Morrowind world inside Oblivion, why dont optimize the world with new Objects, Effects, Items from Oblivion, I love Redoran and Telvanni Architecture so this will not be modified just optimize and MOTF will include new hd textures that fits the quality of Oblivion.
This is 2009, not 2002 so ... theres a lot of things that can be done with the new technologies and new techniques. Lets exploit that and use it and let us give to Morrowind and new glowing and vibrant face!

¡LONG LIVE MORROWIND!


All the things done in MOTF at this stage are:

*Fixed clutter and faces in: Balmora, Moonmoth Legion Fort, Caldera, Ald' Ruhn, Buckmoth Legion Fort, Seyda Neen, Pelagiad and Dagon Fel (I start there)

*New MapMarks in all those places.

*New vanilla-like high definition Map.

*Over 60 new high definition textures with their respective normal maps. Some reworked, some redone and some totally new.

*Fixed lands and lights on all those locations.

*Fixed Music, now when you arrive in a Town, Public Music starts.

*Fixed Music in Dungeons (working on)

*Fixed clothes, armor, weapons, etc in all those locations.

*Decoration, ambientation in progress.

*2 New stables with horses.

*2 new Guar stables in Ald' Ruhn and Balmora (working on)

*Roads has been redone.

*Balmora Guards have new Helmets

*Forts looks like FORTS. New models to be included.

*Sunder, Keening and other Weapons are back. (working on)

*New high definition textures for all the Telvanni Houses.

*New high definition textures for store banners. (working on)

*New high definition textures for some flora.

*New high definition textures for House Redoran Architecture.

TO BE DONE:

*All the places unlisted needs the same : new faces, clutter, items weapons, ambientation, decoration, etc... (take a look above)

*A working mainquest for Morrowind.

*Working side quests for Morrowind.

*IDEA: Flying Slit Striders. (yes, that will be awesome.)

*Bull Netch,Giant Bull Netch and Betty Netch, fundamental creatures of the Morrowind world.

*Alit, Nix-Hound, Scrib, Bonelord, Ash Slave, etc... All those creatures need to be back in the world, also we need Dagoth Ur and Vicec.

*Spears and Staffs needs to be redone, new animations, meshes and textures.

*New royal armor set.

*New high ordinator armor set.

*New Morrowind races.

*Dark Elfs with ear rings and tattos.

*Nords with tattos.

*Morrowind Guilds.

*Someone who likes to work with planes of Oblivion, we need a nice (and new) Red Mountain Region, also repair the other regions around.

*Someone who had a good computer (better than mine) to make HQ LOD's with distant objects.

*Any ideas?

So... is this project dead? Seems like this could be the best possible mod for Morroblivion, so I hope it's still intact. I can see what I can help with. Although I have a pretty limited knowledge of the CS, I can pick it up fast, and as of now I can probably help you clothe and armor people, and give them weapons.

Sorry for the double post,

Sorry for the double post, but I just thought it was necessary to say this. I believe that, for the time being, Morroblivion does NOT need any quests. Instead, we should focus all of our energy towards fixing the problems that are already there before we make new ones. The first problem that needs to be adressed is the people of Morroblivion. They need new clothes, faces and hair, and they NEED NEW AI!!

Second problem we need to adress is the dungeons all being underwater, the absolutely overgrown cities (Seyda Neen *cough cough*) and the ridiculous bugs and glitches (Gaping hole in the hills at the edge of Balmora, Water flowing through land near Seyda Neen lighthouse, etc.) We ABOSLUTELY need to fix the beds and chairs to be usable.

Thirdly, and this step comes later, we need to give NPCs new dialogue, similar to a mixture of Oblivion's and Morrowind's.

AFTER all of these probems have been adressed, THEN we begin adding in new content like textures, creatures, quests, etc. But we certainly need to patch up all the holes there are now before we go tearing more.

And I say "we" because I'm willing to help you. I think one sure way to finish a lot of this a lot quicker is to A. Get more people interested in the project by advertising the mod and this site, and B. Join up with similar projects that already have a lot of this done, like SOVVM and Silgrad. I think that joining with one or both of these teams IS absolutely necessary if we hope to ever see this project get finished.

I would like to join

This project looks very promising. I have been playing Oblivion since its release on and off, eventually getting tired of the then-current mods. This isnt a mod, this is a complete game enhancement. Although I do not have any skills with graphics design or CS or modding in general, I would be honored to be a tester of this mod. I have a machine capable of running Crysis on Very High so I could see how the mod may affect players frame rate wise. At the same time, I could also sniff out bugs/glitches. 2.Staffs are good enough with some fixes that I have.
3.Races shouldn't be changed.

We should:

Besides complaining, wanna do something constructive? Because you are not helping me by just complaining all the time about my idea for MOTF, it seems that you never play Tribunal as well, that's why I say about the High Ordinator Armor, thank God I didn't mention about the Royal Armor.Second the piercings are a nice thing about Morrowind, third tattoes are tribal and part of many cultures around our world, and I would like to see those Nords with blue tattoes again.

This is a Mod that Im working on alone, so since you are not helping me please keep your complains to yourself, because you have no right to walk in, this post, and start attacking me like that.

sorry about bieng so rude

I'm really sorry. I'm just sick and tired of fixing and looking for problems. The thing is I'm just too young to help with construction and scripting because I have no experience with construction set. But I have much free time so i can look for bugs.
And OF COURSE I PLAYED Tribunal and bloodmoon but tribunal crashed every time I entered the sewers.
And Ordinator armor is well made so it doesn't need replacing.
Everyone likes tatooes and piercings and now I wanna know if this tatooes are just textures or meshes?

It's ok istrianac, next time you want to make a suggestion, try to be helpful and I will listen Smile The High Orinator armor from Tribunal is very diferent from the Ordinator armor from Morrowind, but yes we can do a retexture for now.
Tattoes are just textures, nothing more, you have to place the design over the original body/head texture... it can be done with softwares like Photoshop, GIMP, etc... About the construction set, try "A Beginner's Guide" is easy, fast and at the end you will have a nice basic understanding about the CS:

Of course, Im a honest person and I like modding games and always for free, the only thing I like to receive in exchange is respect and feedback from the people, only that and of course people that really want to help. Its not much, but some people cant even do that. Yes, this is a Total Fix, meaning fix everything.

I don't agree that Dagoth Ur

I don't agree that Dagoth Ur should be back. The players killed him in Morrowind, he should not be back. And blight storms need to be gone too, which would mean that the Oblivion Plane at Red Mountain wouldn't really be needed. They don't make sense in the Oblivion timeline, as they are both already gone by now. The cliffracers are almost extinct as well, thank god. Or, rather... thank Jiub. Laughing out loud

Now one thing I didn't notice on your list (correct me if I'm wrong) is fixing the faction relations so that all the Ashlanders and Daedric cultists and Bandits, etc etc, aren't all killing eachother instead of working together. I think that is a fundamental problem that NEEDS to be fixed, as it is rather immersion-breaking.

Thanks for the suggestions ZDawg. I do agree with you about the factions, sorry I didnt mention it here (it was on my mind though) Yeah I dont like cliffracers either, but I would love to see Betty Netch and Bull Netch back in Vvanderfell.

But in that case, we should also clean and retexture all the 6th house cult places, so they look abandoned and forgotten dunno ... right now Im doing retextures and things like that, simple stuff, but its not so easy when it comes to the original Lore ... I would love to see what people think about this, what we should do? Any ideas?

I'm willing to help in whatever way I can problem is....theres not much I can do to help I have never modded before aside from changing the stats on a Daedric Shortsword in Morrowind. I have been spreading word around about the mod so if anything I can keep doing that while adding "modders needed!" and a link to this page. If there is anything else you think I can do then please do tell and I'll be willing to learn/help.

DavidWolf, hello my name is Cody and I would be interested in helping you create your project - to better serve the expansion of Morroblivion. I am however a beginner to the whole Construction Set aspect, I actually don't even have a computer capable of being able to work on the project as of yet. I am currently in the process of creating a powerful computer - it should be done around sometime during the middle of May or so. Even though I don't have experience in the Construction Set, I am however a pretty good writer. I could script the storyline, dialogue, and would even volunteer to do a majority of the voice over work. What do you think?

In regards to the Sixth

In regards to the Sixth House, I think they should still be active but very much reclusive. They are a cult after all, they want to try to resurrect their leader Dagoth Ur. The Sixth House is viscious, they aren't one to give up easily. So in response to the idea of adandoned Sixth House bases, I think yes that some should be abandoned. However, maybe there could be a new one set up (maybe inside Red Mountain?) where the Sixth House are busy working to fulfill the wishes of Dagoth Ur and trying to revive him from the... well, not really dead... I guess trying to bring him back from Oblivion. Tongue

For the abandoned hideouts we probably don't even need a retexture. Just take out all of the ambient lighting and monsters, add in lots of broken things and clutter/trash, and probably add in a few rats, maybe some goblin clans or raiders and bandits, etc. Maybe the orc adventurers from Oblivion could even make their way to Morrowind! Wink

I plan to make a similar

I plan to make a similar main storyline, with a few different twist of events. Side quests may possibly be made up entirely from scratch. I'm sure I could manage the scripting portion, dialogue and the storyline aspect, but I'll need someone good with graphic design to make some of this possible. Meaning, I'll need someone to possibly make a few new weapons and armor selections if possible.

I can help with 3D models, textures, normal maps, artistic improvements to the original design of Morrowind models etc.

Well Im still working on Morroblivion (http://morroblivion.com/forums/morroblivion/mods/285) About 3d modelling the answer is Yes, we need people that can at least optimize the original models, since the are low poly meshes, we need someone who can make those high poly and more detailed.

Dagoth Ur creature

Hay, I would LOVE to help with this mod. I have knowledge in making armors, weapons, most of the CS, and how to create or modify textures. So I can do pretty much whatever you want me to lol. Just let me know. Also Is there any sort of beta of this mod yet? If not its fine. Let me know what I can do to help =]

Also I can make any missing normals for textures. Just send me or inform me of the textures that need the normals. And I dont know If you still have it like that but I saw In a screenie that you gave the hlaalu guards a dwemer shield. I can make a model of the morrowind hlaalu shield and texture it and send it to you ready to use if you want.

And I can make those HQ Lods

i have knowledge of the elder scrolls coding language for morrowind and oblivion, i can also use both construction sets pretty well, i know both games dont use lua but just for credentials sake i can mod using lua coding and i am currently learning how to model and texture'

Bloody brilliant!

I'm a keen Morroblivionite, and I'd love to help with this mod. I'm okay with the CS, but I need practice. I can't help with modelling or texturing, sadly, but I can write dialog, and I can do voice acting for Dark Elves if you want me to. I can do that low, husky Ashland Dunmer voice pretty well, so it'd sound like Morrowind. I was thinking, actually, if we were going to record new voices for the Morrowind world, should we replace say... 2/10 of the original Oblivion voices with new ones- ie, record everything the original voice actor did, and then change the voices of some existing Oblivion Dunmer? That'd add immersion, I think. As I say, I'd be happy to do it. I'm a pretty good writer, as far as new dialog is concerned, so I can help there.

Also, there is a High Ordinator armour set somewhere- a proper, Oblivion standard one, it's very good. LHammonds' Vvardenfell Glass mod will be finished *sigh* eventually, I suppose, and in the meantime, Chitin, Dwemer and native Daedric armours are all completed. I saw some nice Bloodmoon replacers as well, a while back. They're all referenced on these forums at one time or another.

Equally, I'm aware of the Sheogorad- Forgotten Isles mod, which claims to have fully completed Daedric and Dwemer tilesets under its belt. I'm not saying we should try to work with them, because they won't. But they are in agreement that once the mod's out, elements of it can be used by the modding community. So eventually, we'll be able to replace the old Morrowind textures with the new Sheogorad ones- it's a job we won't have to do, is what I'm saying, same with Dwemer. Although Mr. Siika's already done some very tasty Dwemer tilesets.

dudes its ok to dislike things that attack you in the wild but thay are one of the last resources in tamriel fore levatation magic ok ok so i shouldent fuss but if these creatures are going to be going extinct i want to start a farm or reserve to keep a few alive.

if you would like just set me up with a place on the map thats not going to be used and I will get to work. I should start a modding thread dedicated to this I think.

Hello

I just joined because I was on youtube on I saw morroblivion and as soon as the morrowind theme hit. It brought back good memories. Honestly I liked morrowind more than Oblivion...think about it...of course Oblivion had Graphics and gameplay, but in terms of bringing the gamer into the world as if they were actually there.....morrowind on top. Thats why I'm happy to see a project such as this has launched.

Ideas.....well of course keep everything that made morrowind what it is...but Add a few new things you know. A few new cities wouldnt hurt or guilds. Main Quest? I say take off from where it left off. A cleansing is what im trying to say... There were a few dagoths out there and Ash zombies I think a Main Quest should be like that and a rebuilding of Tamriel of curse with the new cities I mentioned earlier.... with a few new guilds you know resembling other guilds in the world like Jedi Knights. Just a few Ideas

voice actors, guilds, horses and the fate of the nerevarine

Okay I've already made a suggestion for a questline pitting the tong against the dark brotherhood and a story involving the nerevarine. but I will repeat myself, Your status in cyrodil should effect what happens when your in morrowind. For example if your the champion of Cyrodil they should be be more mistrusting of you, expecally the Dunmer.

Also Where was the Nerevarine duirring the Oblivion invasion? Is he/she in akavir? Is he/she dead? Or maybe your the Nerevarine and don't remember. Dagoth Ur returning seems a cool concept and he might be a great boss working for a force even greater then he is. A force only the combhined might of the Nerevarine and The Champion of Cyrodil can stop.

Morrowind needs horses to make travel easier and living npc's like in Oblivion as well as the readdition of Spears, broadswords, crossbows, throwing weapons, the other types of katana's and medium armor. Also since there are many area's that need the Mark/Recall, Levitate, Sanctuary, Slowfall, and Divine/Almsivi Intervent spells those should be readded.

Finally I think voice actors would be good for Morrowind rumors and chat. I can do i pretty good Argonian/Khajiit voice and would be willing to do voices for those characters in my spair time. I'm not a modder but I would like to contribute to the project. Thank you for hearing me out and I know what I've proposed is a huge undertaking. But it woiuld be nice to have the best of both Morrowind and Oblivion.

Hi all Laughing out loud
I hope this is still alive...
Just wanted to offer to help if you needed voice actors Laughing out loud I'm usless at modding, (tutorials didn't help either), but I really want to help this project and I figured even though my tiny brain is bamboozled by everything else, I'm probably intelligent enough to at least read lines into a microphone.
One of the things in Oblivion that bothered me was how they seemingly only had a handful of actors to voice the whole game.
Nitpicky, I know, but it bothered me.
