here it is with pauldron, i didnt want to follow original concept for this btw, yeah giant black spice coming down into netch leather, and a yellow empire symbol on side, which i might remove cause thieves wear this armor, so it s not really a empire dragon symbol.
i felt like the armor was too "nice" it needed some sort of jagged meanes to it, i think this was good, ill probably do a different pauldron for the right arm,
and this wasnt really a pauldron, but its going to be counted as one cause i said so.
also a part on the shoulder is needed
why, cant we just have this, i think that looks cool. ima going to do the other with something on the shoulder,
hmm well i guess i could expand the part and make multiple spike coming off and going on the shoulder
Something that could be awesome is to have multiple pauldrons available. These ones plus ones more like the original. That way there is greater variety, as per bonemold. Keep up the great work!
great job alex,oh my i cant wait to have this armor done and in my character!!!yay!!!!!
btw are u working on te cephalopod helm as well? i really lke that helm, hope its good as this armor keep up the good work man!!!
nvm it crashed, and it didnt save
so is it completely gone?
nope, it wasnt completely gone, it saved in some stupid area that i didnt even tell it to save in. oh well. i got it done!
its amazing
Thank god. I was scared
well, im bored of netch right now, i think ill start nordic fur
uknow what, it can wait til im done with netch lol
definately looks freaking awsome right!???!!!
Yes, it looks amazing! Besides you are such a fast worker it's incredible! :)
But I personally don't like the gem, why not just make a belt in it's place hehe? Also some details are still missing, which I'm simply pointing out because I think you should be able to handle them. ^^
what kind of details are u talking about?
is looking ![]()
the only 2 thing that stand out to me is that every thing looks shinie like its covert in oil and the green gem stand out a lot maby a different colour like yellow u see on the original armor
Well I guess there's not much point in making an exact copy but I think this guy really had it very accurate with all the details and such:
I think it's quite a perfect remodel. :P Except for the gloves I suppose.
And hehe yeah I agree it needs some unshiny parts to it too. :D
oh, so u guys want to use his then?
and the shininess is cause by the material im using, istn not carried overinto skyirm, im just using a basic shaded material, its actually not shiny at all.
Honestly, I didn't think using the other guy's armor was even an option and if it were then I don't see why you'd have wanted the extra work? :D But nevertheless I find that your version is a lot more high res and detailed, like I really prefer your helmet and cowl and such. Besides I really believe that you can make it more detailed or just match the details with the original and make it more like in Morrowindy if you wanted to? :)
alexanderband the shininess is cause by the material im using, istn not carried overinto skyirm, im just using a basic shaded material, its actually not shiny at all.
oke sorry than didnt knowe beter
and your armor is what we are using
that other armor is just a nice picture and that is it isnt a mod ore anything and even than arnt we using more amor pieces like the origenal morrowind?
Looking beautiful Alex! Keep it up I'm so pumped for your work!
Yeah no1, the shininess never carries in game. That's what the _m.dds files are for. Those are the grayscale maps that make it so you can decide how reflective an object appears in game. The white parts will be shiny. The black parts won't. You will also need a normal map (_n.dds) or the grayscale map won't do anything.
I can do the Uvs and texturing if you like. And by the way how many pieces are armor supposed to be split into?
9 Pieces including Shield.
I would be nice to have a list of the pieces.
Exactly the same as Morrowind.
Lol it's already better than all of the armor sets on steamworkshop
i forgot to show boots on that pic :(
@the great game creator:
here is list of pieces,
Chest
Legs
Left hand
Right hand
left pauldron
right pauldron
feet
helmet
any questions?
very nice alex :) i think its finished now?
not yet! gauntlets
also, only the chest and helmet are the "boiled parts", the rest are jsut regulare netch, soooo once i make regular netch chest and regular netch helmet i will have two sets done!
Nope got it. Oh and just say tggc from now on no need to write the whole thing its a pretty long name. What are you going to use for the texture bake? Have you finished the low poly?
havent even started low poly yet. havent quite figured out what im going to do for textures yet. we are going to bake detail into normals obivously, we are going to use what i colored for base textures, i guess, we need to make uvs tho.
thats what im talking about! that stitching looks great
Hi alex.
First of all, i want to congratulate you for the amazing work you are making here, like those very nice armors.
I can't wait to use them in game.
But i was just wondering: do you intend to make the morag tong armor too ? I mean that one, from the usual screen:
[External image]
I'm just asking, cause i love that one and i wanted to know if i could find it in Skywind when the mod is released.
Meanwhile, good job again man.
ps: sorry for my english that's not my main language...
hmm i will try to make morag tong armor, so i call it right now, its mine! but ill need to make a female version of the netch righgt now first, so ill import female body slim the lower part of uppber body and add boobies to that when i get home.
wait was that even in the game?
No but the concept art was way better that the final product.

that looks pretty good
that looks pretty good :)
