Hey guys! I love Morrowind and would love to contribute to this awesome project.
I took a crack at reading some lines for Benunius Agrudilius (Imperial)
The first take is closer to my normal voice, and the second one is more of a character (it might not fit the character I chose though). Any suggestions or criticisms are more than welcome.
I hope you don't mind dropbox links. I picked a few characters to have a go at, and I'll try a few more tomorrow, but hopefully this gives an idea of what my voice is like and what characters fit it. And yes, I realise my Nord voice isn't the best!
I actually liked the nord the best!, the other 2 i also quite likes, dont be afraid to overact put some exitement into it dont be afraid to sound silly
Here is my folder of auditions. I have two random lines recorded. But I will put more in the folder when I have time to record all. I can do Bosmer, Altmer, Breton and Imperial. I might even be able to do some Nord/Orc if I put enough testosterone into it.
not bad, would be good for some imperials or bretons, even some bosmer with a little more sillyness added

Any ETA on when the dialogue list will be updated with Umbra's missing lines? Just so i know what the filenames should be for those lines. I'd send in the ones already done, but i'd just rather have it all together in the one package.

I can get to work on recording his full set of lines if you like? I also want to try a few more characters, its difficult to place what sounds good where and what doesn't with so many characters available!
And thanks for the feedback, I will definitely bear that in mind :)
Okay, so I saw this from a trailer a guy I know on Youtube and it looks awesome. i also would love a chance for the voice acting of this game, but I'm only 14. My voice isn't high, but it's not low. Anything anyone would recommend me doing? I just downloaded the spreadsheet and am about to check it out.

His missing lines will be in Skywind, but I boubt if anyone is still working on the dialogues on the morroblivion side of things, so probably never, I have to rename every line in Skywind anyways as the current names are for morroblivion so you can name them anything and ill just change it anyways, first few words from the line would work fine

I'm new to this forum/project and was directed to post a clip of my voice. I wasn't exactly sure what character/race I should do, so I just posted a generic introduction about myself and how I found out about this amazing project. I've never worked on something like this before and would love a bit of direction if someone felt so inclined to do so. I haven't played Morrowind in ages and the videos on youtube tend not to emphasize the actual voice work of the actors. Any who, look forward to hearing back from you guys.

as i said before, regular voice is pretty good for imperials or bretons, a bit lower and a tad more gruff and you have the redguards, lower still and kinda optimus prime sounding and you have the orcs, if youve played skyrim you know what the nords should sound like, light and cartoony almost would be the bosmer, and instead of trying to describe the dunmer ill just link you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO4P_JMU2vE the vid also has a redguard and imperial
<fluff>I saw this mod showcased on Steam earlier today, and my jaw dropped. I had been hoping someone would make something like this, and the quality is stellar! </fluff>
I saw you were looking for voice actors, and thought I might give it a shot. If I'm good enough to keep around, I'd love to help with as much as possible! Like Working Crew, I didn't really know what character or race to choose, so I did a small variety. I have something like an imperial, brenton, bosmer, and maybe even argonian in mind, but I'll go wherever I'm pointed.
Hey oyster man, thanks for the words of encouragement. I was trying to decide if you were an Australian putting on an American accent at first :-P Alright see if you can find a bosmer part and get stuck in.

I had a suggestion to better organize auditions (especially for voice types). Were we to agree upon some sort of canon text to include in all auditions, we could more directly and objectively compare voices. I'd suggest an in-game book, such as a selection from "The 36 Lessons of Vivec Sermon 1", or perhaps "The Stranger". Alternatively, if you look in the game files for Morrowind, you can find several voice types doing Azura's short monologue from the opening cinematic.
So... What exactly is new in the new release? I couldn't find anything and for christ's sake remove those two old sellus gravius dialogue lines already.
orvas dren, sugar lips habasi, nalcarya, part of lorbumol and i one other but i cant remember, lol sorry i wasnt sure if they included the chargen voices or not in the skywind release so i left them for now(sellus) i will add sellus and the others soon then!, still have to be careful on what i add until digital updates the master with the rest his reorganized dialogues
New to the project, I saw it on reddit and thought I would try my hand at contributing!
I've been working on Carnius Magius, and my friend ShawneeLu who posted here not too long ago has finished all of the dialogue for Ahnassi. I'm not sure what the standard for link posting is here, but heres my soundcloud I just threw together with some samples. How do we sound?
I believe Eloth already got to them! Lol so if eloth just told you to pick a character or picked one for you just let me know who you've got so I can assign you guys!
Hey guys, before I record anything I have 2 quick questions.
1. Compressors are not something I'm used to messing with, can I get a quick run down on what the first post is telling me?
2. What I'm gathering from the first post is that I need to export the file as a .wav, than convert to .mp3 right? Rather than exporting both types of files as needed?
compressors are preferred but not manditory as they provide much better quality, forget about the mp3s i can do all that, i need sound files in wav format 16bit mono NOT stereo!
So this is my submission for the part of Hlaren Ramoran.
(Dunmer)
I have about 6 lines all together for this Demo piece.
Hope it's to your liking! Please. let me know that you think, anyone!
(EDIT: Re-uploaded the files, these ones should work)
Any feedback and opinions are appreciated. If you've got advice on how you think I should style my voice (More brutish, more sophisticated) please let me know, and I'll do my best to please.
Hello everyone, i have decided to try out some lines too see if I am any good to you guys as a voice actor. I have a link to the sample which includes; Imperial, Khajiit, Orc & Wood Elf lines. Tell me what you think!
I'm finding it really difficult to get all the compression settings right in Audacity, half my lines always seem to be quieter than the other half, and they're always pretty loud anyway. Is there a surefire way of making the levels correct without impacting on sound quality?
hey stijmunkey I have remade the voice of Ulath-Pal and this time it is much better. Eloth said i could have a go on his lines. would you be so kind to assign me? :)

sorry there is a super bad humm in all the samples, so quality is definitely an issue, also it sounded too much like you were just reading lines off quickly to monotone no emotion, needs to sound somewhat natural or even over acted
Re-done the same lines as before, a bit softer and a bit deeper than last time.
I hope you guys like it.
not too bad, a little work and we could have another orc! maybe a little lower/deeper booming voice of an orc and all that, also i could hear some backroundg noise if you can get that cleared up and play around with the voice a bit and upload some more samples we can go from there!

funny you mention I have don't sound like there is no emotion, thats just me haha. But I will try to put some emotion into it, if it works out ill send a new message with new versions.

Wow! Thank you guys so much! It's really late right now, but I'll jump on this tomorrow when I get the chance.
And just to be clear, would you prefer the voice at 0:32 or 1:17?

Maybe you could lower your voice at the end of sentences to give a bit more emphasis, pause next sentence.
