i missed putting them in, i have all the files just need to do a little tweaking and convert to fuz and they are in, hopefully i get some time tomorrow, possibly tonight to do it

just a minor release update for skywind, now includes sellus gravius, jiub, and the redguard guard from the boat at the beginning

yesYay, but still... sellus gravius still has the old voice actor when you  pick the topics "caius cosades" and "background", like it was in the last two versions.

Can someone else check it out just in case?

Saw this guy do the narration for the skyrim mod Undeath. I don't know what his policy is but he is really good.

The work you guys are doing is awesome.

Well, after shopping around, I finally ordered a Blue Yeti Microphone and it should hopefully be here soon! :D I went with the Yeti, since I found it new on Ebay for about the same price that the Snowball was going for on other sites. I'm really excited!

Now, while I wait, I'm going to see if I can somehow convert my closet into a nice, cozy nook to record....

Yet another mini skywind update, replacing most of hasphat antibolis's lines with new actor erchinos version, which i actually quite liked for the record, but im missing some so not all lines are replaced yet

@persephone, cool!

Edit: have the rest of erchinos lines, expect a full hasphat sometime during my next days off

Stij, can you give me the list of NPC that are supposed to use the following voice types

Barradin's Mom
Solin
Cinjaxon

Barradin

I'm pretty sure we broke them in dev release 0.8.1 with the automatic voicetype assignment script. I know I put caius voicetype back but I didn't know about those voicetypes.

You should have warned me to add exclusions, or just deselect some npcs when applying script :)

No problem Zilav, I just didn't know. I saw the problem with Caius when merging a plugin this week-end. And today I read the OP here and realized there were others in the same case :P

you should be safe digital, barradins mom=femalemorroaltmer, barradin=malemorroaltmer, Solin=malemorroargonian, and cinjaxon=malemorrocaius and malemorrobosmer so as long as everyone is set to the morro voicetypes everything should be good, they are just the ones voicing the voicetypes
Karma: 0 (0 votes)

ok then.

thanks for the link I'll check them out, most we already have but almalexia could be interesting if it's good

Stij, you should remove the esp from your package. Indeed it contains outdated versions from the NPC and the voicetypes are now in the master and assigned to every NPCs (mostly). The only two things that are actually not in the master are the formList (what's it used for ?) and that we need to give Vivec his voicetype back. I will note this for the next master.

formlist just adds our voicetypes to the list all the generic and wi dialogues pick from

Because I've been having a cold for almost two weeks now I haven't recorded that much, but I did get a lump of gunk in my throat an hour ago which gave my voice an interesting texture. Threw up some random lines for fun, this one wasn't too shabby.

Hi, I recently caught wind of the project and would like to throw my voice into the pot. I'm not sure how this works exactly, do you assign the voices, or do I ask to be assigned to a voice?

If you would like to hear a sample of my voice acting, though my technique got better since I did it, you could check out my Skyrim Mod, Bards and Guards.

Send in your samples for the role or roles you're trying for, then if it's good enough you'll be assigned. That's how i understand it works, anyway.

Well, I picked three initially, I may end up doing more, but didn't want to overwhelm myself. Do I submit it here? On this thread?

just upload somewhere and post the links here

Alright, can do.. Next chance I get I'll do a few voices for you. Currently installing Open Office in the rig so I can read the xls.

Alright, I've been bothered by my Dagoth Gares voice, so I've started work on a new version, heavy editing (I like this outcome far better so far.  I'd say it's about 1/2 Hermaeus Mora, 1/3 Bane, and...whatever's left cheezy audio effects.)

Cool, sample?

http://www.mediafire.com/?zs8ezqwxt1yccsz The whole second version, some bloopers may still be in the recording, I edited the effects in first.  Was going to do more effects, but I think this is better.

sounds fairly creepy to me! i think it suits the creepy ash snout mofo pretty good any other opinions?

the effects are good, and pronunciation is fine. but needs to be deeper perhaps. Not slower, just lower pitch by 200-350 cents
what is the filter u use on this? can u increase the gravelly noise modulation, and perhaps some flanger/chorus? even some reverb ? :)

Ravanna

can u increase the gravelly noise modulation

I agree, I think because of the ash storms the voice needs a raspy type sound to make it sound like ash and dust are clogging his throat

Straight from the man who created the creature model for dagoth gares, I agree with everything he said, especially the gravely part, he, at some point, used to be a dunmer

I'll give that a try.  Basically, what I did was record the voice, duplicate it, lower the volume of the original, lower the pitch on the duplicate, boosted the bass, and merged the two files.  The only equipment I'm using is my Kinect microphone.  My other one seems to have died...poor thing would flicker its light then the computer wouldn't recognize it.

Alrighty. Audition for Lugrub gro-Ogdum, the Orc in the Gnisis eggmine.

Sounds. Great serithi, also for the record one audition per race is fine, unless you plan on changing the sound a bunch Edit: I take it that means you want egg mine orc?

Howdy folks! I'm brand spanking new to the project. My name is Mike and I'll be doing my best not to let you all down with my Dunmer voiceover work. Here are some test lines I just finished recording for Hlaren Ramoran:

I know it's not exactly the same as the original voice actors, but let me know what you think, anyway!

@ Stij: Sure!

And i'll start doing some other races too, if i'm doing too many Orcs.

EDIT: On that note, you know during chargen there's the guard you talk to when you first get off the ship, and that's where you pick your race? Is that role available by any chance?

At the moment that voice is perfect for an orc, a tad higher of a pitch and just a smidgen more rasp and you'll have the dunmer were looking for :D P.S. glad to see you made it! Thanks

OK I'll add you as soon as I can, pfft you can never do too many orcs! Also I'm not sure I thought we had mist of the chargen people voiced but I'll look into it this weekend

Hello all! My friend told me about this project a couple days ago, and I thought it'd be great VO experience. Here are some examples:

http://www.mediafire.com/?732xaqms6i5kna1

http://www.mediafire.com/?ohfsklkmodvk0fb

http://www.mediafire.com/?ac2cdce3exm1eql

http://www.mediafire.com/?i0jnzjai12plj8e

I used the screencaps on UESP to get a vague idea of what each character sounds like (age, aggressiveness, etc.) I also know that my audio setup isn't the greatest, so let me know if there's a weird echo or if you can hear my computer tower in the background (the fans are pretty dang loud...)

Wow Graveheist, that voice acting is great! Really realistic! The Khajjit voice is awesome! yes

@graveheist:

i like the dunmer voice very good :) i also like the khajiit voice, i would like it even better if you tried to make your voice go deeper :)

so i would suggest selecting the dunmers available, and start recording :) your voice was perfect, so its safe to start :)

sarah that is excellent. I'm guessing a brit, since most Americans cant do a british accent like that.

what everyone else said! feel free to pick any dunmer, and as eloth mentioned maybe a bit of a lower tone and you can pick some khajiit too, just let me know who you want!

. . . . . . . . .i still wanna hear someone try the female dunmer with a raspy voice like the males i think that would be cool!
