[MERGED]Mournhold Trees and Lamps and various other meshes

Stumbling around Mournhold, I noticed that lots of meshes were not converted yet and this became even more apparent while playing through the part of Tribunal's mainquest that's done to this point.

The first thing I noticed was that all of Mournhold's unique smaller trees were replaced by standard Oblivion bushes which didn't fit into the world at all. So I converted the mesh using the converter and replaced every single bush with the original model using Morrowind's editor locations by hand. I did this twice as there are two versions of each tree, one dead, one alive. The larger trees I left as they are, as so called weeping Willows. They look great and much better than the Morrowind meshes. I also created a dead version of this tree with brown leaves.

I also put the original Mournhold lamps back into the game which at that point only were invisible light sources. I converted the model with Blender and using Nifskope placed a custom made yellow flame onto the mesh which Blender couldn't convert and considering how different Morrowind renders flames from Oblivion really shouldn't have anyway.

Additionally I converted Sotha Sil's body and pointed the already placed placeholder to the correct mesh.

Finally I converted and placed all the pieces of the broken Almalexia statue into the game.

All of the textures have normal maps and the objects have the correct scripts attached to them that will automatically disable or enable them based on what part in the questline you're in. The quest are obviously not done yet but the scripts are already there so it will work.

Enjoy.

Looks great, and btw I'm not

Looks great, and btw I'm not quite sure yet how exactly the map system might work because the Mournhold wordspaces are all "Children" of an empty dummy "parent" Mournhold worldspace which has the map texture assigned to it. I am however working on the Tribunal main quest right now.

Great job! The original looks

Great job! The original looks almost always better. All of Mournhold's textures aren't actually the original colours. They're some sort of high resolution texture replacer. I simply pointed the mesh to where the textures are that Morroblivion put Morrowind's converted textures into. The textures are actually being used by many different meshes, so replacing them may affect some walls as well.

That already looks much

That already looks much better than the all golden walls, I tried that particualar texture replacer for the original Morrowind as well a few years back and it gave me the worst Moiré-effect I've ever seen because of the small tiles. Btw, the Main quest is coming along very nicely and I think I'll be merging this with it. Only Helseth's quests and the Museum are left to do.

Please don't modify Museum quest - I've started working on it already some time ago.

I noticed that the High

I noticed that the High Indoril shields weren't implemented yet even though the mesh and texture were already there. So I created them and also added the Ordinator armor script to the appropriate Mournhold Ordinator armors so that they know if you're wearing it.

The reason for missing

The reason for missing shields is that the Converter doesn't convert them. Yet I'm still surprised the Indoril / Ordinator shield was never manually converted. This fixes that.

Was the Mournhold Shield fix

Was the Mournhold Shield fix merged into v0.62?  Just curious if I should install both or just the Indoril one?

Thanks!

This brings back the last

This brings back the last Morrowind specific shields that weren't converted automatically. These are: Ebony Towershield, Steel Towershield, Daedric Towershield, Glass Towershield, Orcish Towershield and the Iron Towershield. Except for the Iron Towershield which is from Vvardenfell Imports they use their original Morrowind models but with improved textures and normal maps, for the glass shield I added transparency.

Coincidentally I also fixed the Golden Saint shield levelled list which was only set to spawn a few shields instead of many.

Enjoy

This is a pack rat model

This is a pack rat model which will be used by the pack rats sold in Mournhold. I added the Morrowind Packrat bags and blankets  to the Oblivion mesh using Blender and this is the result. It looks and works really well.
