Thanks! I updated my post with a short reel of all the races as a sample.

Every last one of those was simply brilliant sir! As far as I am concerned you may take any role you please, you can use any variety of the voices for each race, except dunmer they need to be the classic raspy voice. Just let me know which characters you are interested in! Again brilliant, well done!

Hi there! Wanted to add my voice to the chorus. I've attached a reel that's just meant to cover all the races. I use unique character lines but that's just because there's a little more flavor to them. Let me know what you think. File's attached. It's an MP3 for now.

Side note about myself: I'm a game designer working in Boston. My studio's working on an iOS adventure game set during Prohibition. I mainly work on game mechanic design and quest writing. One of my majors is theater and I've done a little bit of V/O before. Not a lot but some. Anyway, rambling is done. Hopefully I don't suck!

Yeah. Orc was actually something I pitched down considerably. I just don't have the lower register for it. Like, at all. Still, never hurts to try!

Dinas that was truly great! I love your dunmer voice!!!

Very well done! Again I say I would be happy using any of these voices, except maybe orc as mentioned earlier, also the altmer are finished, you can pick any race and Npc you would like from the first post , or if you wish I can assign you some roles

I'm slated for J'Dhannar and the Inquisitor but eloth told me to give Hassour Zainsubani a go so I'm hitting that first. I should have that done in about a day.

I'm going to tackle a few lines for Duke Vedam Dren and see how it goes. Doesn't seem like he'll need the typical Dunmer roughness quality to his voice. I'll post a few things and see how they turn out.

EDIT: https://soundcloud.com/tajnarasha

This is a rough recording attempt with my very primitive set-up. I'm just trying to get the quality up to par. There seems to be a little bit of a need for a high-pass filter in some parts. I'm using Audacity at the moment so any advice would be appreciated ;)

I'm... slightly confused. Multiple people will be voicing in one voicetype?

I'm fairly certain that actors will be voicing individual NPCs as they choose. The main concern is that every wants to retain the classic sound of the Morrowind Dunmer since their voice was so iconic.

I've waved that notion with Vedam Dren since it makes sense for his character, but I'm waiting for some input.

it doesnt make sense at all, he is a dunmer, and yet he sounds like an imperial ;)

we decided on this long time ago, dunmer = morrowind dunmer voice

Whelp, I'm TRYING to get the dialogue for my chosen character, Wulf, but all of sheets are broken for me on the programs I use... Would anyone be willing to help somehow...?

Unfortunately, yes. We have to be practical, otherwise there would be as many voicetypes as there are NPC and or voiceactors. Once we have most of the dialogues voiced, if there is too much differences on same NPC, we can modify dialogue conditions to prevent a NPC to display some dialogue (as long as it doesn't break a quest/lore).

What program are you using? Thermador would be the person to ask

Wow, okay, so the last one I tried DOES work... But it took HALF THE DAY TO LOAD (I had sent that last comment in that time while it was loading)

EDIT
https://soundcloud.com/michael-yeakley/i-am-the-chosen-of-talos and here's my 'tryout' for Wulf. I say tryout because I need someone to review my recording quality. As for the name, don't worry, I'm not tricking you into letting Heimskr yell into your ears, it's related.

There is very slight clipping on on the p's but I can do better next time. I had to record fast so I got a little too close to the mic on that part in a rush since I don't get home alone time to be loud very often (but Wulf barely has any dialogue anyway)

SikSikSikki the quality sounds very good me. Just for the character you're sounding a bit young, if you do that part put the more of an old man voice into it.

Kytareth we really really need females to pick up parts, so please help out :) The samples were too hard to hear the words. Rolling Rs are not easy, you need to back off on the emphasis a bit. Try experimenting a bit and post some more samples. You could even try backing off the mic a bit when it comes to the Rs.

Ok as some of you may know I work a lot. . . . I'm working 10-11 hour shifts on a sporadic rotation usually works out to 2 days "off" a week, but then I am on call everyday, and I usually do get called in, I dont remember my last legitimate day off. . . Done my share of 16 plus hour shifts, once worked 20 just to get my 5 hours of sleep and do it all again lol! Anyways all that venting is to say work is interfering too much to be able to dedicate enough time to leading the voice acting, I'm not on nearly on enough to properly keep track of everything and everyone, and spend proper and needed time with the actors and implement the voices (most time consuming part) which isn't fair to the actors or the project. From the start I only tentatively took over because no one else would, at the time we didn't have any quality voices and only a few decent actors who all but disappeared due to lack of leadership so I took over, and was only able to save a few of the actors the main one being cor angars, he's been here since before I even arrived! All of this being said we need to replace me! I will continue to do what I'm doing as much as I can, with the help of Eloth and happy, until a suitable replacement is found, but they have their own areas that they need to focus on and can't keep covering for me. We need someone who is able to dedicate the proper amount time to the project and and be able to send time with and properly lead the actors, also need to have decent organizational skills to be able to keep track of everything, and basic knowledge of the ck to be able to implement the voices (I could throw together a tutorial), also audio engineering or studio experience would be a huge bonus to be able ensure consistent quality. This project is my baby lol I took it from disarray and jump started it actually making some progress, now it is the most popular thread on the site and has garnered a lot of interest, but I've also lost a lot of said interested people by not being able to dedicate proper time and energy into them so if I ever want to see my "baby" come to fruition I need to step down so a more capable lead can take over. Once a suitable lead is found I will relinquish leadership of the voice acting, however I will not disappear, I will continue to help the project in any way I can (stuff that I am able yo do at my limited pace, videos, voicing a few characters, requiting new actors and the like)

I will leave the Duke in someone more capable than me at the Dunmer voice. I've attempted a few recordings for it but I was never quite able to get the raspy/motorboaty effect in my lines so I might try my hand at the human NPCs for now. Since There's talk in another thread that the Imperial quest line is done I may do those since we could implement them rather quickly :)

Hey, I'm a professional actor with some experience with voice-acting.

I caught wind of this and would love the opportunity to lend my talents.  Any main characters left?  I'd have a shit-ton of fun, and I'm sure my sound tech friend wouldn't mind me using her booth to record some dialogue.

Sorry, I'm very new here, but whatever you all need I'd be more than happy to help!

We would be happy for your help, the only male main quest characters left are dunmer which is the very specific raspy sound we need, there is however a bunch of female roles available, so your friend would be great to have! The list of roles on the first page should be up to date , all the main quest characters are listed and all roles for the project are in the drop down catagories

So I recorded all the dialogue for Wulf, with a twist.

It's not my voice - It's my brothers. A man who gave me my sense of humor and taught me all my impressions and accents. He doesn't sound too old though in the recordings, BUT I HAVE A DEFENCE. 1. Wulf is an aspect of Talos. 2. Wulf has a 'history' as a Legion Veteren, so it would make sense for him to have a grizzled voice as opposed to an older voice. We played the dialogue we recorded while looking at Wulf in-game and we personally thought it fit rather well, and will likely fit even better once Wulf isn't nude.

Kytareth, unfortunately I could barely understand anything you were saying.

Hey Kytareth your talking to nasally which makes it hard to understand you should try to do less of a nasal noise and try to talk more like you normally talk, and do less of the oi sound and its probably a good idea to practice your roles on your r's as well. just try to dampen everything and try to talk like you normally talk more.

So... While cleaning the audio for Wulf, I overwrote the first 3 tracks of his Quest dialogue his default dialogue. Soooo... I hate life. Gotta get my brother to re-record.

Are there any younger male characters left? I'd love to voice them!

I noticed that some of the filters in the spreadsheet (such as NPC Name) are not sorted, so it's hard to find an item in the list. Since these lists seem to come from the columns way to the right, I think if you just sort each of those columns then the filters will be sorted also. I tried it and it doesn't look like anything else was messed up. I think the sorting might help the voice actors find their NPCs more quickly.

I encountered this as well.

Nothing Ctrl+F couldn't handle though ;)

Would love to help out with some of the voice acting. Is there any specific characters that are of higher priority or does it not matter at the moment?

Unless your a female no, the main quest characters had the highest priority, but most and I pretty sure all the males are done from the main quest so just pick anyone you like!

Hello! I would like to audition, though I sadly won't be able to do the .lip process were I to be chosen. I am a female voice actress and noticed you are in need of some female roles. Like someone above asked: Are there any roles you really need voices for? I have a slight European accent (Dutch / Frisian to be precise xD)

That's fine we can generate all the lips by batch, the first set of roles listed in the first post ,the main quest characters, basically all the free ones are female roles, they also have links to uesp so you can check out the character, so basicallyany of those

Hiya! Just came over from Gopher's channel and noticed there are still a few female characters left on the list. I'd love to help out, but I've only just started learning the modding process, myself. I have to go through your tutorials and such, so it'll take me a little bit of time to make sure I do everything right. Fingers crossed. ;)
