well give us an example of your voice steven and and well show you where to go or you can choose one of the people that hasn't been acted already and tryout for the part.

Not sure if it has been adressed but a 1500 post long thread is a bit much to look through. Are we to do the general lines for each character as well? I mean like the generic lines like "hey how are you?".

theres actually a chart at the start of the forum that should be up to date just look at it and it show you what parts are taken.

We will yes , I'm working on getting those particular ones set up so people can do them

That was very entertaining, good job! Also nice to see a fellow Canadian! You have quite a wide range of voices so I would say pick out some races and give us some elder scrolls specific samples! Then we can go from there!

Alrighty, this has been an interesting exercise so far. LOL

I just did the samples I was sent, just to get an idea of what I'm doing, since this is my first time doing game related voice acting. The tutorial posted here is fantastic, it'll be super easy for me to go through and edit everything the way you need it once you determine if I'm a fair fit for any of your vocal needs or not. I didn't edit the hiss out of the samples just because I wanted to get something posted quickly, and I had to go register a sound cloud profile and all that fun stuff. But I'll be able to go through and do that easily afterward, thanks to the tutorial. :D

Also just so you know, I'm used to Skyrim ... well, everything, but especially Argonians. And Nords. o.O I have to admit, I still really do need to play through Morrowind and Skywind so I'm a lot more familiar with the old sounds, rather than the Skyrim ones. ;)

Let me know whatcha think, either way. :D

Hi all,

I'd like to audition for the role of Fast Eddie! He holds a special place in my heart; many years ago, playing Morrowind, a very funny glitch caused him to behave in a way that has become the stuff of legend in my friend-group of long-time Elder Scrolls fans. (We ultimately made custom-printed Fast Eddie coffee mugs to commemorate one of the most bizarre and memorable moments in our collective gaming experience.)

Anyway, I'd be just chuffed to bits if I could lend my voice to his character! See below for my brief sample on SoundCloud.

I see that Vivec has been taken, but I can't see that he has anything actually done.

So, In a desperate attempt to see if my voice editing is any good, I've recorded Vivec's Greeting in the style of the unused voice files from Morrowind. Enjoy:

Recommended mic and filter are arriving on Tuesday the 10th, according to Amazon. I'll start knocking out whatever I'm assigned to soon as I get those all set up. :D

Also will be working with my friend to help try and get her samples up soon as possible. We're a few states apart, so I have a time zone and work schedule difference to work around, but she's a big Morrowind fan and is very interested in this. She's also a better actress than I am, so it'll be worth the wait and effort. ;)

Welp, that would be me. I actually told stij to remove the assigned quite some time ago but he must have forgotten.

So do go ahead and voice him.

Oh! Thanks! That said, Do you think I should stick with that style, or go with something a little deeper, or something more, natural or not-creepy-God-like? This is really directed at anyone who cares.

Speaking for myself, I love them! I think your voices are great, the argonian could be a bit more raspy IMO, but apart from that I loved them! :D

Sky999: Thankya dearie! :D

RoastCabose: I saw a mod that uses those data files, and the sound on it is much deeper. Kinda reminded me of Herma Mora. Sort of...

Anyhoo, personally, I actually like your version better, it's much easier to understand. Now, I'm just a newcomer here, just straggled in a few days ago, so my opinion won't hold much. I just thought I'd chime in, just in case anyone starts up a vote. ;)

Since we are on the Vivec topic;

I propose you try a different array of effects for the voice of the god. The flanger effect, while cool, doesn't really mean that it's the best fitted for the character. I understand that Vivec should resonate with power, but at the same time there was always something mystical and serene about him - something I find lacking with the Bethesda sound files. I think there may be a reason why they opted to not use what they had recorded for similar reasons.

On another topic, I'll be getting a blue microphone soon enough to fix the sound quality of my recordings. I will then tackle on some characters.

Also who should we send the recordings to so they can be implemented?

Good to hear everyone is getting mics and getting involved in the project! I did forget about vivec, he was only partially done, I also don't mind the voice at all, cor was trying an effect that had one lower voice with one higher pitched voice layered over each other, to emphasize his dunmer and chimer counterparts, perhaps you want to try something like that? And the finished voice files just post them here with what character they are and I can gather them all

I quite agree, very well done! I would be happy to assign you to him

Awesome! Consider me committed. I should get all the recordings to you within the next week or so. Do you need all of the Dunmer's voiced or just him?

I'm fairly certain he is the last main quest dunmer but there are many more

Applying for Only-He-Stands-There! I'm more than happy to do plenty of Argonian voices, they are incredibly fun. Excuse the typo in the filename.

Alright I've started doing some recordings for General Darius. He has quite a few lines so I'm expecting to be done sometime this weekend hopefully. Since he's the starter of the Imperial Legion questline I'm looking forward to seeing if we can start incorporating the dialog since the quest has already been completed ;)

new release! Also it looks like we have someone willing to do some implementing of the voices so expect more soon! Big thanks to gigaflare for offering to help out!

Holy mother of god, I just did the lines for Addhiranirr today since I happened to stay home from work to help my mother out with some chores throughout the day. Was feeling a bit sorry for her since she tumbled off of a ladder yesterday. Heh--she's fine, just achy now.

Anyhoo, this being my first shot at this sort of thing, that took quite a bit of time. I knew you guys put a lot of time and effort into this already, but there's a newfound respect for it, right there. I'm about to start converting the wavs now. Hope everything ends up working out to everyone's satisfaction.

And for your amusement, a few derps during my first run: Warning, I think I did a pottymouth at least once because of my neighbor's obnoxious dog. On a positive note, apparently that snowball really is a good mic. o.O

I listened to your samples on SoundCloud think the nord is the best, the orc is good too and not many get it sound right, the dunmer had the tone/attitude of superiority good but it didn't really have the "flow" I guess.

Hey Stijmunkey,

I think you accidentally assigned the wrong person to Hlaren Ramoran. Just a heads up :)

Wow, I believe you are correct sir, ill change it to you as soon as I get to a computer. Lol man am I having a good week :p

Hey do you want me to help with adding the voices to the NPC's?
If so send me any sound files you have and ill put them in.

I've already got:
HassourZainsubani
Huleeya
Nine-Toes
VarusVatinius

Ok cool, ill put together a download of everything else I have tonight, do you want the programs and bat files I have to convert them to fuz files by batch, or do you already have a system worked
Karma: 0 (0 votes)

Heya, thanks for the feedback, guys. :D I've been listening more to the original sounds -- I do actually get a kick out of the husky Morrowind female dunmer voice. I can try tinkering a bit more with other lines to see if I can get that one more accurate, I think it'd be tons of fun. If I can pull it off, great, if not, someone out there is bound to be a better match. :D

I think I saw a post a couple pages back that said not to worry about generating the lip files? If that's the case, I have all 83 MP3's for Addhiranhirr ready to send off. Let me know what's wanted. I was working on those for so long the other day, I woke up this morning thinking with a kajit accent. o.O

Let me know if you guys want to toss anything else specific my way. I gots no preference either way, don't wanna step on any toes, just wanna have fun and help out. ;)

Sure just upload the lines somewhere and either I or gigaflare will pick them up. For something specific do you think you can do the couple lines for the first female guard on the boat
Karma: 0 (0 votes)

Sounds easy enough, let's see if this link works out for you guys.

Let me know if there's anything you want me to change, re-do, fix, etc. I'll tackle those boat guard lines in the mean time. :D

Here's the female boat guard--Arianna Falviana in the spreadsheet. Let me know if it's ok.

I've just come across this project, and I'm keenly interested in joining the fun. I've got about a month and half off coming up here, and I saw Vivec's name on the list of voices left undone (I would assume a lot of it is because of the massive amount of lines he has). I was interested in picking him up, and giving him a whirl, but I was curious as to what you guys thought about the post processing on his voice. The dialogue he had hidden in the game assets sounds like this. I'm going to try some audition work later this evening when I get off of work, I'll do some with post-processing to match the original style and see where things go.

Vivec was taken about 20 post ago by RoastCabose.

I know voicing a main quest characters sounds amazing but there are HUNDREDS of NPCs left to voice, some of which could be incorporated pretty quickly since we're already making some progress on the quest side of things. The Imperial quest line needs some work - I'm already recording stuff for General Darius. I'm sure there's something you could pick up in that section ;)

You're right, I missed that, sorry! Well, if we don't hear anything back from Roastcaboose, my offer still stands. In the meantime, I'll try to find some other parts that interest me.

That's my fault guys, I took cor off but forgot to put roast on. But there are still lots of voices, dome with effects you can play with such as daedric princes and whatnot
Karma: 0 (0 votes)

No problem, thanks for the heads up before I got deep into working on a specific person!

Stij, did we have anyone working on Hircine? I'll do some male imperial voices here too, but I just feel like playing around with voice modulation a little. I couldn't find him on the list of characters needed.

Hold on let me look through stuff, I remember someone doing a voice for him but I don't think he was actually voiced, ill have to check who it was
Karma: 0 (0 votes)

The Scamp and Mudcrab merchant need voices you know!

I was playing around with the idea of making voices for the Daedra. I wish I could pull off Sheogorath's insane accent XD

Creeper sounds like a blast, figured he'd be taken by now - Only, I can't find him on that amazing excel sheet of all characters. Any idea where I can track down his dialogue, and especially what I'd need to name the files should I do him?
