Gotcha. Oiy technical stuff--I've got that snowball mic with the pop filter, and I use the editing tactics as shown on the tutorial. During recording, I have a quiet spot that I sequester myself in to cut out my neighbor's obnoxious barking dog. If anyone with more experience with sound quality input/output/etc recognizes where I'm going wrong with the sound quality, please do let me know. Will save some trial and error time in the long run. I'm wanting to re-do those dunmer lines, and try out a bit of altmer fun this weekend, hopefully, and once I get on a roll and everything's sounding decent, I can knock out good sized chunks at a time.
Also, I see a lot of characters on the spreadsheet that weren't listed on the original post of this thread. It's ok to grab up those characters that are on the spreadsheet even if they're not listed in the OP, right? I think I remember spotting a post a few pages back that mentioned something of the sort, but honest to god I can't remember exactly. LOL
Thanks all. :D

Hi, I'm new and would love to help. I've got some samples of Tul, the Argonian Camonna Tong agent, but I'd love some feedback, particularly on the direction you guys would like to go regarding Argonian dialect.

Hey wanted to help out, tried out Falco Galenus in the imperial male section. Let me know if you think that particular voice would be fitting, and if it's even good. Criticism is always appreciated.

I realized I chose the wrong lines like an idiot, but these are still ok samples. Let me know if you think that particular voice could work for anyone. I'll be re-doing the actual Falco dialogue, and will post a sample for him later tonight, just consider these samples for other characters you think that voice will work for.

I think that fits a noble Imperial, at least imo. The Audio cleaned up pretty good too, the only thing is that Falco is part of the bloodmoon quest, which isnt really a high priority, its probably going to be a while before anyone even starts to work on bloodmoon. Try looking for another imperial Noble (or similar character) or one of the remaining Bretons From the original Morrowind Questlines. Leave the expansions for last. If you are unsure of who a character is just search them up on uesp.net

Thanks for the swift reply! I will be looking for another noble character, as that's sort of what I was going for. I was also thinking about trying General Darius, though with a different voice of course. I'll post up my samples for the General later as well. :D

All right, here's my shot at General Darius, I can't help but feel that line of voice, if tweaked a bit would fit better on some kind of mage. I also am having a hard time pronouncing that darn orc's name. Thoughts?
Edit: I've added some other samplers, as you can probably tell I lowered the pitch on the orcs a little, just because what I was doing wasn't cutting it deep enough for me.

Hey all! I heard of
Hey all!
I heard of the Skywind project several days ago and thought it was a great idea (took me until today to realise Morroblivion wasn't just a funny url, but actually another reinvention of Morrowind!), and I've always been interested in voice acting so I perked up as soon as I saw this page.
I'd love to help out if you can find a use for my voice, but I'm having trouble figuring out what a lot of the voices originally sounded like. Do you want them to very closely resemble the original voice talent from Morrowind, or can the voices be altered/reinvented if appropriate?
My voice isn't amazingly low, but it's fairly well suited to low and/or grumbly vocal styles. My current computer is a Mac, and I've only played Skyrim (a lot) and Oblivion (a little) on console, so that's why I don't know what the original vocals sound like.
If I were to use Skyrim as a reference, I'd say I could probably do similar vocals for Imperials, Nords, Orcs and Dunmer (each individual race varies a fair bit, but I'm sure there'd be a voice type in each of those races that would be natural to me).
Any help, information or direction would be greatly appreciated. And sorry for writing a short novel disguised as a comment.
Cheers,
TheAussieKirby

Those were all quite impressive! that dremora was brilliant! Well done sir! and welcome! Im not sure if the Dark elf is quite raspy enough, although im listening through my works speakers wich have a huge static noise so i can barely hear as it is :p maybe a few opinions from others then we could get you started on some of them as they are the most needed, aside from that stroll through the main post and see if there are any characters you are interested in, as far as im concerned your basically good picking any race!

Feeling a little inadequate after listing to some of these. LMAO
The good news is, I think I've worked out the weirdness I was getting in some of my recordings.
I've also started working my way through the generic female data folder sounds. Made it all the way through the B folder today. LOL Lawd there are a lot of these... I only put up a few for kicks.

Going to be fixing Brara, Vevrana and Sharn, still not happy with them. Did some minor quick NPC's that aren't on the list, too, but will give you guys a run-down of everything once I get the main ones sounding slightly less noob-ish. ;)

Thank you! honestly i was sick and flemmy at the time of recording and i knew i could do a much better raspy elf. Jiub or some gards are usually easy to imitate. at the time though i was just kind of throwing in some characters to show some variety and didn't really think them through.

Working on the Seyda Neen womenfolk at the moment, and I'm going off of the wiki list.
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:People_in_Seyda_Neen
In the dialog spreadsheet, I can't find any lines for Adraria Vandacia, Teleri Helvi, or Teruise Girvayne.
I've recorded the lines for the rest: Darvame Hleran, Eldafire, Elone, Indrele Rathryon, Thavere Vedrano, and Tolvise Othralen. It doesn't look like any of these were listed in this thread's OP.
There are a couple of lines of dialog attributed to Elone that seem as if they should belong to someone else, so I skipped those two lines - lines 41 and 42 in the filter tab. Also, Indrele's first line of dialog out of the spreadsheet I think might be missing something--can you guys double-check that one and let me know if you have a complete line? I'll probably have to re-do that one.
I'll be editing and uploading those this week. In the mean time, just a few samples added to my sample list for feedback to make sure I'm on the right track.

Hi everyone.
It's been a couple months since I last posted here. Some real life stuff came up and, long story short, I was left without internet for a couple of months. But I'm back and ready to help out!
Last time I posted, stijmunkey said my voice was suited for the Bretons and that I could knock out some of the minor roles. So I did Elbert Nermarc's voice (in the attachments)
Give it a listen and let me know what I should change, or if you think another race would be better suited for me. Any feedback would be awesome!
Thanks.

Welp, since I was dumb enough to start with the dunmer voicetype I guess I'm going to continue with it, I've started recording guard and Caravaner/Gondolier dialogue.
We'll se where it goes from there so I guess I'll do the unique dialogue of the Caravaners/Gondoliers as well starting with Adondasi Sadalvel, Daras Aryon, Seldus Nerendus, Punibi Yahaz, Selvil Sareloth and Navam Veran.
They mostly just have greetings and comments on destinations anyway.
Oh, also Nevosi Hlan, Gals Arethi and Ano Andaram. That should be all male dunmer transport people.

Hi all! I just signed up today. I want to help with the voice-overs. I wasn't sure where or what to start with, so I recorded a line from the spreadsheet for the Dremora Kratz. If this isn't what my voice is needed for, that's fine. Just let me know what I can use it for.
Note that I did slow the recording by 12% and added some reverb.
Thanks for the consideration! I hope I can help!

Oh! I saw Azura on the list, and thought it'd be fun to try and get that effect for kicks. I thought I saw a post saying that someone would apply appropriate effects to voices that needed it, but if you have an idea of which ones to use, I could give it a try, m'self.
I'd love to give this a shot, but some of the effects I've tinkered with don't quite sound exactly right. Any pointers would be appreciated! :D

Hi, you can pick some dialogue from the excel worksheet of on the first page of this thread :)
Has any of the voice leaders
Has any of the voice leaders tried out some of the Voice acting websites? Like:
http://voiceacting.proboards.com/
Even if you have would be very good idea to post with the new development video as there is a big section on voice acting in the clip.

Hi, new here so not sure if this was requested before.
On the first site you have these already finished characters for each race. Could we get one of each sound examples from the other voice actors for each race, so we can match the way we sound, so our chars will sound similar and you will know they all belong to the same race.
Also gives us an idea what the different races should sound like.
Ok. Thanks for the feedback!
