Yeah, I just threw it together over my mic. It's a first attempt at this, I wanted to see if you liked the voice enough for me to try taking the time doing the necessary editing, etc. Would you like any help on minor characters? I could try a few, try and edit out noise, etc.

Edit: Weird, I clicked reply. That was to stijmunkey.

I am trying for Burncanius Varo, Publican of the Varo Trade house. Here is a link to the greeting: https://soundcloud.com/stu-cook-1/test-burcanius-varo

Voice sounds good, but I'm hearing a bit of an echo, might want to place something behind your mic to make sure no sound is echoing back into it.

How is This?

Perfect, I'm not getting any background noise either, and the voice is nice and clear.

Great! I'm really glad that some of them were alright  yes

Just wondering... do you have suggestions for how I should clean up the audio? (I'm a bit of an amateur, sorry)

If you haven't already, download audacity, it's a free audio editing software that a lot of us use to clean up and mess around with our audio.

If you have audacity already, just hit record and don't make any noise, when done highlight a small section and go to effects-noise removal. Hit noise profile. Record whatever you're going to use and then hit effects-noise removal and go ahead and click ok at the bottom. For making voice sound better, go to the first post in this and look into tips for audacity. Good luck XD

Here's some cleaner samples, thoughts on quality? If you need it cleaner, I'll need to borrow my brother's setup before I record the actual files.

P.S. need to rig up a pop filter too, i think.

Hi guys, just bumping to see if I could get a bit of feedback from the powers-that-be?

Cheers

Regular echo, flutter echo (like in the video) and reverb can be avoided by being close to the microphone. For most microphones, a distance of about 6-8 inches is ideal (hehe). If you find that it causes P and B sounds to be overwhelming, try and speak away from your mic a little, not directly into it. (this is a reply to the first post... but it was relevant to both, so i replied to this one ;)

Alright, here's my go at an Argonian. I did Hides His Eyes. I might try to voice someone else later, but this is it for now. Interested to know what you think!

Good voice got some echo though

Alright, I made a recording of a new Ashlander (without so much background noise).  https://soundcloud.com/smitehammer/shabinbael

I've also added an attempt at a Khajiit to my Soundcloud.  https://soundcloud.com/smitehammer/drozhirr

If Divayth Fyr is still available I would love to have a crack at him - or any members of Telvanni.  If you know of any Dunmer bards or poets, I'd like to try singing in that voice - or doing a throat-singing dirge.

Dunmer Voice is great! there is some background and echo though

Seeing as male Khajiit is all taken ('Twas my specialty :( )

I'll try these:  https://soundcloud.com/djd2010/sets/teehee

It has samples for male Orc, male Argonian and female Khajiit. :)

All of those are pretty good voices even the female lol, but im still getting some background noise from that mic

Decided to try the voice of every race, let me know if you think I'm a good fit for something else.

https://soundcloud.com/joeygreenway/voices-of-the-elder-scrolls

All of these are great! Only ones that need tweaking are Bosmer and Dunmer, You are ok to request all the other races, good job

Saenus Lusius- An imperial at Fort Frostmoth, cleaned up the mic and tryed to keep a clear tone, as he is a guard and shows little emotion, may need to bass boost a bit, for some reason my mic likes to be very trebel heavy. Feedback works!

There is feedback on the mic and a tad of echo :(

I hope you can forgive my inability to read, but I didn't see where in the first few posts it said how to format my uploaded files in terms of title. I saw some other people using SoundCloud and I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon.

What else do I need to do aside from simply saying, "I'd like to voice X, Y, and Z" to get approval?

Here's just a test reading of Raxle Berne, then, without background cancelling or anything: https://soundcloud.com/eccentricowl/raxle-berne-kill-her-for-me

Exactly what Lango said

Is there a specific place to find combat voice? I wasn't sure if that would even be on the spread sheet.

Yes we can pick your best voice and assign you to that race, then i will get you set up with everything you need for the voicetype lines

All right, on top of the voices I've already done, I just threw this together to see what you think, most are just repeated random lines, let me know if you could use any, or if any of my previous voices work better.

LOL all good!

What? there is no noise. The quality is superb in the 2nd and 3rd clip. The first i think there might have been a problem with the distance from the mic or just how it picked up.. it would require a retake.

Alright, cleaned up my audio files a bit, and did a re-recording of the Khajiit to see if there's any difference in the 's' noise with the pantyhose over the microphone as an improvised filter.

Ok, forgot who said they wanted to hear a female dunmer with a male dunmer raspy voice type.

I gave it a quick shot just for kicks, but the first one fell flat. LOL

So decided to move on to the next character on my assignment list, and couldn't get the frog out of my throat. Fffffffffffffffff.

Anyhoo, just having some fun between assignments. Oh, and toying around with god-ish effects. Going to have to learn a few more effects tricks, though, I'm afraid. :D

Carry on. :D

Uploading audition for the Redguard Karrod.  So far, very similar to my Imperial voice.  Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated.

It sounds very imperial, try and add a type of rogue-ness to it. Red Guards are difficult to do I've found.

To me, at least, the second voice and the second to last voice are the best I can do at Red Guard.

Have you tried using normalizer on the clip so the "S" sound isn't so high and raspy? I've found that it helps a bit. Also, the P's are still a little poppy, were you using a pop filter?

Some test lines of Raxle Berne the Vampire, to give you an idea of my voice. The audio in the clips are a bit scratchy, but I'm sure I could tune them up if need be, just wondering if my voice and attitude is well suited for Raxle!

I advise running that through audacity so you can clear up all that noise. The voice sounds good, but it's hard to hear the exact quality until it's cleared up. If you add the file as a .rar I could fix the audio issues a bit and re-post it.

Looking to volunteer.  I have many voice samples - though most are with old equipment - here: www.voices.com/demos/Russiajin

I've also attached a couple of files.

If you'd like me to record something, please let me know to what decibel I should normalise the files, and how low I should set the noise floor; I assume as low as possible.

I downloaded the open office option and I am wondering how would I go about navigating it. For now I clicked on the tab below that says NPC's with Unique dialogs and is that all I have to do? Does it show every ones lines?
