Two minor sound issues and one oddly funny thing

Finally got Morroblivion installed.  Since I've never played vanilla Morrowind this is going to be a real treat.  Music is almost entirely Oblivion music, though---if someone can help me sort that out I'd appreciate it.

Two sound issues are 1) sometimes if I'm lockpicking or looking at a merchant screen or something like that the music will get real staticky and stutter.  2)  sometimes when I enter a building people start talking to me and  NO ONE IS IN THE ROOM.  they are usually close by (upstairs or downstairs...) but it's disconcerting!  especially when I'm trying to sneak.

finally, the funny thing.   I go to the town near Caldera Mine, and when I walk toward the gate this lively ghostly looking creature just starts following me around, but not attacking or anything.  I thought--cool, I have a new pet, so we danced around a bit until the city guard killed it.  I looted the afrit skin as a souvenir.  Not sure why it didn't attack me.

I have answered you about music in the other thread already.

Stutters during music playback certainly don't come from Morroblivion. Could be your sound drivers or something.

Alit's attack animations are bugged, so it can't actually attack you. Fix is located in this thread.
