I'd give the de-esser a shot first and see if it improves it without noticeable loss of quality (seeing as how re-recording is a lot more work!)
EDIT: I tried to clean one up a bit "fbmwMQ10_1HortatorAsSduty_00aa1f2b_1" but either the sibilance is either still noticeable or it sound noticeably affected. I also only spent 5 minutes on it over my lunch break, but still haha...

Unless a de esser destroys the quality or doesn't work, use that. The other option is to edit every individual S that needs it in audacity. The second option is what i do personally because it gives me total control over the final sound (even if it is a ton of work).
Okay thanks guys, I'll run a

Okay! I'll get to work on those Imperials. The Mudcrab I could not find his lines on the spreadsheet. Does he only have the three line listed on his UESP page?

Hey everyone. A friend sent me this way because he knew I liked to voice act. I gave a couple of lines a shot, just to see if you think my voice is acceptable for certain races.
These are, for the most part, completely unedited. I only cleaned up the noise a little, and normalized it. No compression, no de-essing.
Dunmer (Bols Indalen): https://db.tt/rKecTfyC
Argonian (He-Who-Stands-There): https://db.tt/cr14OiDI
I'm willing to tweak my voice based on suggestions, so please feel free to pick at my lines.

I'm inclined to agree. Neither of these voices are quite there for Dunmer or Argonian, but if you incorporated your rasp and slow airy qualities of your Dunmer voice to your current Argonian voice, you'd probably make a hell of an Argonian.

It says I don't have permission to view the files. Try uploading them using the forum's attachment feature, or use a file uploader like Dropbox.

Download the spreadsheet (it's on the second post of this thread,) then look at the first post of this thread to see which roles are open. As of writing this, all male main quest characters are assigned or completed, and all Breton characters have been taken, but there are some Imperial and Nord characters for you to try. Find a character, record one or two of his lines, then post it here for approval. Just go for it! :)

I don't think the Dunmer's going to work out...
The voice is supposed to be almost entirely rasp, with very little of your 'real' voice coming through. This seems forced, which it should not be. Just keep listening to other Dunmer voices and see if you can unlock the secret of the rasp.
For me, in place of my natural voice between rasps, I tend to go to a light almost-throat-singing. But you need to get the rasp down before that would be helpful.

I don't think the voice quality is quite there, are you running it through audacity first? It sounds a little, mumbly.

What are you talking about? Ulfgars dialogue is on the spreadsheet.
The example you gave also sounds like a mumbling mess.

The female dunmer voice type
The female dunmer voice type is tricky, even if it's not the same sort of rasp as the males. Thank god for that, by the way--orcs were bad enough, and I find my voice going gravelly at the end of the day anyway. LOL
I've just gone through and recorded another metric ton of stuff this weekend, which I'll be editing throughout the day tomorrow. I've noticed a few other gals posting links to some of the female lines they've been running, which is awesome! Since I've been running so many lines, I thought I'd post my own progress in case any other ladies want to see where they can improve a voice I've recorded for.
The more voices our project leads have to pick from, the better the final product will be. :D
And don't worry, gals, if you see anything I've recorded that you're working on, or want to work on, do eet -- the leads will replace my stuff where appropriate. ;)
