Uninstall morroblivion

Submitted by stas92 on

Hey! I've been playing morroblivion some time ago on version 44 or so.. now i see a lot of updating has been made, so i want to update mine, but I would like to know how do i uninstall the old version of morroblivion without causing problems for the new one and most important to keep the old saves to work in the new version.. I believe i need to uninstall the master file, somehow uninstall the release... and do i need to uninstall ely's silent voice and obse?

With this, I would just go back to Oblivion/Cyrodiil, then save your game and update. Then you could go back and resume.

No, you don't need to uninstall OBSE and Ely's Silent Voice.

But you need to uninstall old master-file (obviously) and all resources from old version.

An easy way to remove all the loose files is to use TES4Files.

Alright... I see there are a lot of files, can you please explain how to use this tes4files? or is it better for me to erase everyhing and start over again?

Simply doing a fresh install is of course the best way to insure a clean slate but I don't think it's really necessary. TES4Files is pretty straight forward. Just select the Morrowind_ob.esm in the list so that an [x] Appears next to it. Then check the "UNINSTALL" box and click on EXPORT. This should move all the files to a subdirectory of wherever you extracted TES4Files to.
